"Einrichtung war wunderbar und unfassbar sauber, aufgeräumt und schön eingerichtet. Leider hatten wir das Gefühl inmitten einer Riesen Gruppe untergebracht zu sein die sich abends lautstark unterhalten was direkt im Blickfeld vor unserem Mobilehome war. Ansonsten war alles prima. Aber man sollte wissen dass die Nähe zum See nicht ganz so nah ist, wie es aussieht. Aber insgesamt ein tolles Konzept. Wunderschöne und saubere, moderne Anlage. Sehr freundlicher, zuvorkommender Kontakt und hilfsbereit."

"Very happy with Icon. Entrance and access were convenient and easy, location very good, with bus stops within a 2-3 minute walk, the Lido/Cassarate area only 12-15 minute walk, and downtown only a 20-minute or so walk. The building was modern, and accommodation was very nice. Murphy bed very comfy, good kitchen and a very good bathroom with a rain showerhead. Nothing but nice things to say...we really loved it! "

Often when you rent a place, upon arrival you discover that the photos were taken at a misleading angle, or that something about the place is not really as nice as it was spelled out to be. "Overall a fantastic hotel. Great breakfast. Pool was amazing with a good amount of sunbeds. It got very busy on the weekend compared to the weekdays. We felt that given the heatwave when we stayed they should have given us bottled water everyday not just randomly on 2 days as they appeared to do. Also there were a lot of corporate events on during the weekdays. The pool bar is very, very expensive. There is a supermarket bearby that is about 8 min walk but they lock you out of the minibar and you have to request access - so you can’t easily chill drinks. Also they add 5% service charge for your stay and they tell you this at checkout. They do say it’s optional but you feel obliged to pay it. Along with city taxes this can add a significant amount to your bill so be aware!"

"An exceptional hotel. We had a very spacious room with a balcony and an amazing view. The breakfast choices endless and yummy. The hotel is on top of a hill and away from downtown. If arriving by train, you will need to take a taxi (only 13-14 Euros). The hotel has a complimentary van to and from downtown twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon, you just need to have them add you to their list. Gorgeous gardens and hotel grounds are picturesque, with a nice cocktail bar and a very pleasant outdoor restaurant. The dinner menu not too extensive, however some very unique items and everything was delicious. The staff is superb, both at the front desk and in the restaurant - very professional, super respectful and going above and beyond to meet any request. Our son was there for a couple of days with a large group of students. Varese was their final city in a 1-month class abroad. My husband and I arrived separately and stayed at the same hotel. Since our son's birthday was the day after, we ordered some cakes for his whole group from a local baker the last night of the visit. The baker was running so late, we did not know if she would show up at all - and we had a whole bunch of students waiting. It was already a few minutes after the restaurant's closing time, but the assistant manager took my sudden order for 25 desserts and had them served within 10 minutes. Literally saved the evening and my son's friends said the desserts were the best they've had in Italy all month."

"We had a lovely welcome to the hotel. The room was spacious and clean with air conditioning which was great with the hot weather we could experience during our stay. We enjoyed our relaxed breakfast with a great buffet selection in an beautiful setting. housekeeping was friendly and made a good job during our stay, always trying to make sure the room is tidy and clean and adjusted to our time schedule. We had a balcony with great view over the pool, lake and mountains. The hotel had an amazing gym for a hotel, which my son and husband enjoyed very much. I think they would have enjoyed a more friendly and passionate staff there, but It was overall a very pleasant stay and we will be definitely be back."

"We were very happy with our stay at LUGANODANTE. The location is perfect, close to shopping, restaurants, the train, and waterfront. They also have parking onsite which was very convenient. All the employee we met were extremely helpful and friendly. We loved the Mixology drinks and the breakfast buffet was first rate."

"An amazing view and a brilliant hotel. They gave us two connecting rooms for our family of 4 and it was a lot of room. No air conditioning which meant it was hot but they provided fans. The pizza on site was amazing for dinner that night. The drive up to it can be scary as very sharp turns and a lot of incline. Only thing that I could complain about was the breakfast as there was no options for any of us to eat. The waiter said that there was a delivery problem but it meant no croissants, no anything really apart from some old hard bread and some scrambled eggs. Was very disappointed with that."

"This was an overnight stop on our way to Italy. The hotel was very quiet despite close proximity to the motorway. The staff were really helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. Nice views over the surrounding hills. No tea/coffee in the room but a station off reception with free water, tea and coffee. There was no breakfast in the hotel but a croissant was provided in the morning and if someone wants a larger breakfast then the buffet restaurant next to the hotel is available. Also, hotel guests receive a 20% discount on a meal there and there was a fair choice of food to suit most people. We would definitely be happy to stay there again, particularly with the cost of Swiss accommodation which can be much more expensive if you’re not planning on spending more time there"
