Made a separate reservation to extend because we didn’t want to move our luggage and booked through Expedia because the hotel wanted to charge us more on top of the website going rate. And soon after we go back to our room. We get a call asking why we were just staying “only one night” as a warm introduction. Additionally, the entire day (13th) we were BOMBARDED with phone calls and staff/management constantly inquiring about our previous & current experience. I swear, probably had the same conversation with 5 different staff members within less than 3 hours of each other. Separately, they sent maintenance to our room on 4 separate occasions within 2 hours to check the either the TV, mirror and or smoke alarm, despite already being inspected by the previous group. So, I basically paid to be bothered/overwhelmed by staff and not be able to try and enjoy our stay. And their idea of compensation for the experience was to decorate our room with 2 towel swans, a cheap bottle of wine and subpar chocolate we already had from their complimentary dinner, that we already weren’t impressed with.
