The hotel was fine in terms of looks, location, price.
My qualm is the noise. People stay at these small, cheap hotels to SLEEP. Instead my friend and I got ZERO SLEEP.
We stayed in room 2 and starting at 12 AM , there was something going on in the room above us. At first I thought it may be guests but no, it was the hotel doing renovations. I’m appalled that they 1. wouldn’t notify us of this upon check in 2. give us a room that is not directly underneath it. These floors were so thin we heard whatever work boots they had on all clacking on the floors all night long, at one point they were dragging things around the room, they had music going. It was actually wild. What’s crazier is the fact that they were still working when we decided to leave the hotel in the morning around 9am.
Once again though, our second night, they started renovations again.
Another issue I had was at check-in. I accidentally gave the lady my name (cause I thought I used my name to book) and instead of saying she didn’t have me in the system she tried to check me in as someone with the same first name but different last name. Turns out it was under my friends name but I thought that whole encounter was weird.
