Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort - All Inclusive

Mayan Princess Beach & Dive Resort - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent
"We had a great time on our honeymoon here! Staff were very kind and welcoming. Have to give a special shout out to Jack, Kevin, and Brittany they were great. Solid food and drinks as well. Whatever you do, don't forget bug spray! With some spray you will have no issues. There is a lot of opportunities to do fun things here."

Caribe Tesoro

Caribe Tesoro

8/10 Good
"The staff was very friendly and helpful with our last-minute check-in. They communicated quickly via WhatsApp to coordinate shuttle services and provided a welcome drink ticket and free breakfast. The room was very nice, and the amenities suited our needs well. The only downside was that the bed had a little sand on it and a hair on the pillow before we got into it. It is understandable, being near a beach, but I took off one star for cleanliness because of that. Otherwise, the pool was gorgeous, with easy access to the ocean, the pier, and several other resorts, restaurants, and the market. I would stay here again!"

Puerta Azul

Puerta Azul

10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at Puerta Azul. They have their own dock to start snorkeling and kayaking from, as well as boat pickups of you prefer tours to reach farther destinations. Breakfast onsite was great with a weekly rotating menu. One thing to note is that the onsite restaurant is the only convenient but expensive option for lunch and dinner. The main road is not comfortably walkable, although we did do it a few nights for more variety. The front desk can also call taxis for you. The reef outside had some amazing snorkeling and was the highlight of the stay. We saw an octopus, 2 types of rays, jellyfish, squid, and countless fish species over the span of 5 days. Very few other hotels have set up here so we had the reef all to ourselves."

Blue Bahia Resort

Blue Bahia Resort

10/10 Excellent
"The Blue Bahia is a boutique resort in Sandy Bay. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The pool is refreshing. The restaurant is excellent. The beach is less a beach and more of a road, which was disappointing, but not a deal breaker. The best part of the resort are the people who own it and their employees. Josh and Kim make sure their guests are well taken care of and make a point of checking in with you every day to make sure everything is going well. Johny, Luis, Kenya, and JoJo at the restaurant are amazing! So kind, so friendly, honestly good people. Sulema, the housekeeper, kept our room clean and well stocked with towels. They all treat you like they've known you forever, and truly care about you. Also, I can't forget our furry friends, Allie, Mia, and Pancake, the resort's canine greeters. I always miss my dogs when I'm away from them, and having a little puppy lovin' makes it easier. We truly had a lovely stay at Blue Bahia."

Fantasy Island Beach Resort, Dive and Marina All Inclusive

Fantasy Island Beach Resort, Dive and Marina All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent
"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."
