We were so well looked after - 2 people looking after us a breakfast, making sure we had enough to eat and drink and topping us up frequently! Such a friendly and welcoming hotel. Would definitely stay there again.

Friendly staff and hearty breakfast in good place
The gentleman who checked me in and served breakfast (so sorry that I don't remember his name!) was just so friendly, positive, polite and helpful. A real asset to the establishment. Breakfast was extremely hearty (to avoid food waste, some portion sizes could maybe be made smaller with an offer that people can ask for more if they want ie. one hash brown and one slice of bacon with the full English and then people getting more if they wanted but that is just nitpicking!). The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. I would say it was quite an expensive stay but I assume that goes with the "supply and demand" nature of it being bank holiday weekend on the island. Great location, a short distance from Sandown main attractions/beach and ample parking. Really lovely!

Two night wedding anniversary break loved it staff brilliant clean room really good breakfast quiet location ample free parking central to most popular spots. Could not fault my stay.

Callum was always checking if the guests were okay and that food requirements were being met. He also gave information on things to do on the Isle Of Wight. Our room was impeccably clean, as was the communal lounge and dining area. The only negative was that Sandown is not as nice as it clearly once was. The area around the pier is in need of investment, with a surprising number of derelict hotels/buildings, but clearly this is not something that Chaston Manor can influence.

Fabulous host. The check-in process was simple. Short distance to beach where I had a beautiful run. Room was clean with all I needed. WiFi was great in my room as well. Free parking at the property. The breakfast was superb, didn't need to eat again until late afternoon. Would stay again.

A lovely place to stay
It was a lovely place to stay. The owners and staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very timely and of a very good quality. (Fresh brew coffee was a big plus!) Lot’s of things to choose from and generous portions (enough even to fill the black hole that is my two son’s appetites!). The beds were very clean and comfortable and the hotel itself was within walking distance of sandown pier and local conveniences, which made it very handy for travelling with kids. Would definitely recommend.

The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming and the property is lovely, especially the large airy breakfast room. Breakfast was also fantastic, all freshly made to order. The only downside was you had to decide what you wanted the day before. Would be nice to have the flexibility to decide on the morning, though they were very accomodating so may have let you change your mind. Would definitely recommend

Family friendly and close to the beach.
We loved the stay at the hotel, the owners are very friendly and it’s child friendly. We would definitely come back. It’s close to the beach and shops. All walking distance.

The hosts are very polite and very accommodating. Perfect place for family with young kids. They have small playarea with toys to keep the kids entertained. The breakfast was very delicious. The room was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Ilse of Wight. We would love to come back again and stay at Chaston Manor. Thanks

Great for our two young children.
The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is set up to accommodate children and my children enjoyed playing with the wooden train track down in the bar area. Breakfast was plentiful and offered a wide range of choices and you can't beat the classic full English. The thing that stood out most of all was cleanliness, everywhere was really clean!

Simply incredible customer service. I had to book this hotel very last minute due to a family emergency happening on the Island at the time (daughter at festival, unwell). I spoke to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to set the room as we needed, welcomed my daughter (who I joined later) and checked in on her awaiting my arrival. The room was clean, well thought out use of space, facilities (tea/coffee/water/biscuits etc) lovely quality (not cheap and nasty). The atmosphere warm, welcoming and friendly. Breakfast delicious (especially the toast - fresh hearty slices of bread)... nothing a problem - all served with warm engaging staff. Would not hesitate recommending this hotel. The car park (although didn't use as arrived as foot passenger on ferry) a fair size to park in. The decor as pictures show. Thank you so all you did for my daughter and I

The garden at the back of the house is set up with picnic benches for a sundown drink. The owners came by for a chat at the end of the day and were charming. The breakfast ("full English") kept us going all day.

Really good hotel. Barry was very friendly and went out of his way to ensure we could make the most of Sandown beach. Hotel was very clean and they had a smart TV with Netflix (you need your own account) and breakfast was great. I had the vegetarian option. Location initially put me off as it was not close to the beach as the others but when I did arrive I think location was great. It's in a quiet residential area about 10 mins walk from beach and 10 mins from train station so was actually perfectly in the middle between both spots.

So pleased we chose here for a last minute booking! Barry and his team were so welcoming. Our room was immaculately clean and we slept well. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking too. The full cooked breakfast was excellent. The hotel was a perfect place from which to explore the island.

Over priced hotel
Hotel over priced arrived no one there to meet us had to phone a mobile which was not answered but did ring back after a few calls to it room far to hot could not turn heating off and when I opened window was like m25 on rush hour so no sleep told owner in morning but they did not seem interested far better value to be found on island I think

Lovely, clean hotel with a very warm welcome. Ideal location for exploring the island. Nice big car park. Beautiful room, very clean with all the necessary bits and bobs. Had a minor issue getting the shower to temperature but easily sorted. Nothing too much trouble for the hosts and the breakfast was a real treat. Definitely recommended.

A lovely stay. It really shows when a great deal of thought and care has gone into the customer experience and that shines through at The Lawns. The rooms are modern, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We were there when it was starting to get cold in the evenings, but thoughtfully the heating was on. Breakfast was excellent in a lovely dining room. A wide choice of food was available. Orders were taken for a cooked breakfast which was very tasty. All the staff were friendly and attentive and great at customer service. A very enjoyable stay - highly recommended

Bed very comfortable, full breakfast good but alternatives limited. Room was not cleaned on last day and supply of extra toilet rolls non existent! Hotel generally very clean, honesty bar a good idea and lounge comfortable.
