What an amazing stay in absolute beautiful natural surroundings. Such a wonderful place to unwind, relax and rejuvenate! We loved waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the waves right outside our door. A natural setting hosted by a kind family. We loved that we could walk the deserted beach for hours! Definitely a gem!

Chilling off the beaten path

Casa Obe was my last stop during 3 weeks of beach travel and it was the perfect ending! First the hosts JuanCarlos & Valentina welcome you like old friends! Alba will make you whatever you want and is an excellent cook, and Yammy makes a mean Chelada! What I loved was I felt like I was in a hippie town of the 70's but with modern convenience. Simple rooms are that simple, but totally adequate for a low key beach stay. Rooms have A/C and fan, beds are comfy and the pool is fantastic! My time went by sooo fast that I wish I could have extended it by a few days. Go with friends and book a few rooms you will have the place to yourselves! There is a small Capilla (Chapel) at the top of a hill next door and a crocodile lake just a few hundred meters away. If you are looking to host a yoga retreat or team building program this would be a great place! The beach is endless and deserted - you will have it all to yourself. Note - this is not a swimming beach but the hosts will be happy to give you a lift to Hualtulco during the week so you can spend the day at the swimming, snorkeling beaches. Zapotengo beach is beautiful!

Diamond in the Rough

We are so happy we found Casa Obe! This is a special place. Juan-Carlos and Valentina have created a wonderful escape from the crowds. We were here for a week and felt like we should stay for a lifetime. The rooms and decor are simple but elegant with beautiful wood furniture. The pool is amazing. The beach is deserted and wild, welcoming long strolls. Before long, we felt like part of the family, sharing their incredible home. Highly recommended!

Perfect. Need I say more?

This is one of those places where you want to tell people it was horrible because you want it to remain your little secret. However, I loved everything about this place and just can't do that to the wonderful people that run this place. This is a beautiful and secluded stretch of beach. If you want to go swimming, you do need to walk a ways as the waves right in front of the hotel will crush you. But you absolutely can't beat the beauty of this place. Right next to the hotel is a 'lake' that I'm sure becomes a river to the ocean in the wet season. It's full of gorgeous birds and crocodiles, so don't swim there either:) Everyone is super friendly and the view from our room to the beach was outstanding.

NO PUDE HOSPEDARME EN EL HOTEL

nunca pude ingresar al hospedaje, reservé el lugar para pasar la noche por trabajo, llegue a las 8:30pm después de estar manejando por 6 horas, el camino para llegar desde la carretera fue terrible, de terracería, rocas y subidas y bajadas pronunciadas, al llegar la propiedad estaba cerrada, estuve tocando y sonando el claxon, vi unos perros por la reja pero nadie abrió ni salió a recibirme, intenté llamar pero no había señal, posteriormente al retirarme busque un sitio con señal en la carretera para comunicarme por teléfono y nadie me contestó, no pude hospedarme en el lugar; tuve que ir hasta la bahía para hospedarme en otro lugar

Un lugar para relajarse un par de días.

El lugar es hermoso, el oleaje es un arrullo constante que permite tener un sueño reparador y placentero. La playa es apta para caminarla, no para nadar porque es mar abierto.Los anfitiriones son muy amables, nos dieron un aventón al aeropuerto para rentar un auto y siempre nos dieron muy buenos consejos para aprovechar más el paseo. Con respecto al hotel, nos topamos con el problema de que el restaurante abre hasta las 10 am y veníamos desayunando a las 11. Siempre hace falta el café de la mañana. Con respecto a las habitacionbes, nos quedamos en la que tiene 2 camas y el espacio es muy reducido, apenas 30 cm entre cama y cama. Hace falta una mesa en donde poner las maletas porque siempre estuvieron en el piso. Se eschuchan todos los ruidos e incluso los pasos de la habitación de arriba. Hay que solicitar la limpieza al cuarto, pues en 10 dias de estancia, sólo nos limpiaron una vez. No recomiendo este lugar para niños menores de 5 años, pues es un lugar más apto para el relax para personas que quieren tranquilidad y además hay una terranza en el techo que no tiene barandal. Yo llevé un niño de 4 años al que tuve que estar vigilando para que no se subiuera a la terraza. Si buscas quedarte 2 o 3 días en un lugar tranquilo, está bien, no es para estancias largas porque para salir, forzosamente tendrás que rentar un auto pues los taxis son bastastante caritos a la Cd. de Crucecita Huatulco ($800).
