"Very friendly hosts and Santiago English was very good and he explained a lot to us about Cuba. The room is very pretty. The pool outside with the cabanas is quaint and lovely. There are peacocks in the garden too which is unique. The meals were very tasty and plentiful. "

"The room (apt) it was very spacious, enough to accommodate 5 of us. It had to bunk beds (pretty big size) and a Queen bed, bathroom, kitchen/bar area with even a set of high stools chairs. The entire place was immaculate, very clean and secluded enough so you can enjoy the 2 outdoors patios-even with a very nice view to the surrounding neighborhood but what really stood up were the hostesses-very lovely and charming couple. They accommodated us in no time, gave us suggestions for restaurants around for either breakfast and/or dinner. They even helped us get gas from another guest that was actually leaving the next day. I wish I could stayed longer but I was only one day in Santa Clara out a weekend trip to Cuba. I highly recommend this place. Can't way to go back !!! Thank You"

"Excellent place, the owners are very friendly and you receive a warm welcome. A clean, quiet and safe place. Located in the center of the city, surrounded by places to dine and next to the "bodeguita del medio" of Santa Clara. Without a doubt, a place to return."

"The hostal has two wonderful gardens, one which is used for breakfast. It was an ideal place to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds. The airconditioning ih the room worked well so we were quite comfortable. The staff were very helpful, even making us sandwiches to take when we left. Breakfast was good with lots of fruits and juice."

"From arrival to departure, it was a pleasure to stay at Casa Causilla. Beginning with guava juice brought to me when I checked in, to offers to call a taxi for me to transport me to the bus station when leaving, Miguel and his wife wanted to make sure my stay in Santa Clara would go well. The room is very comfortable and sheets and pillows are of a high quality. Excellent shower with abundant hot water and pressure. Hair dryer much appreciated! The location is within walking distance to most points of interest. Within a family context, nonetheless you have maximum privacy at this casa as the room is located near the casa entrance—and you get a set of keys—with the family area down a long hallway, and at hand, if needed. Definitely one of the best, if not the best, of many casas I stayed in during 4 weeks in Cuba. Highly recommended. "
