I wish I could give more stars to this wonderful hotel.
Small and intimate and exceedingly comfortable! Best bed we’ve ever had while traveling, which was needed after the long days of exploring.
The staff were so attentive and friendly and gracious with my minimal Spanish.
Incredible stay in a gorgeous city!
We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for our girls getaway. We only stayed a night for my sister's birthday but the hotel was great. The style is different and fitting to San Miguel it had a perfect mix of new boho and a colonial look to fit the town. The beds were SO comfortable they felt like clouds. The staff was nice especially the house keepers they were both SUPER attentive. The actual hotel is small and quiet which was perfect after a long travel day we will definitely go back.
I stayed here for 5 nights. During my stay, there was a pop-up shop. 4 artists,15 days, all day, afternoon, and into the night, constant music. I wasn’t given any notice of this constant disturbance. Impossible to rest with music and conversation one foot from my door. Sometimes it was just music and artists talking; other times it was equivalent to noise of a small party RIGHT outside my door. The window inside door didn’t close which made the noise outside my door that much louder - impossible to block out.
I wasn’t made aware of the beautiful rooftop deck with stunning views. I discovered it on my third day. Would’ve been nice to know earlier that there was this beautiful space I could escape to to get away from the constant noise of the art show.
You can’t read in bed - horrible lighting.
Very sparse feel to my room: Not one decoration on any wall. No dresser to put my clothes into. No breakfast. not even coffee.
Bathroom: small vanity- not enough space to put anything on or even take things out of my bag (and I’m a guy. That would be really frustrating for most women.)
There was a bottle of water but had bottle cap and no bottle opener given.
Feels like they put the basic necessities into the room with no consideration given to the actual daily needs of a hotel guest.
I would not stay here again -especially given the price and the plethora of other hotel options in SMA.
Really nice place. Clean, nice staff. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi was very spotty and the TV is useless. Besides that it’s a really great hotel option in San Miguel
We loved Casa de los Olivos. The staff was so kind and helpful, the terrace had a phenomenal view, and the location was convenient to everything. Continental breakfast of fresh coffee, fruit, and pastries was included and served up on the terrace-it was so nice that we never ventured out for breakfast. The bedding was incredibly comfortable. Our room was close to the street so it was a not quiet (we were there during the week before a festival so we had firework, traffic, and parade sounds), but we loved our stay and will return!
Magical! We absolutely loved or stat lly at Casa Olivos. Victor at the front desk was so warm and welcoming and helped make our stay feel like we were at home.
Another big plus is the location which is a small 5 min walk to the main square/Cathedral area.
Also the Beds are an Absolute dream. Felt like i slept on a cloud. The attention to detail from the staff to the comfort of the beds and the spacious rooms. What a gem ! Cant wait to be back !
