We had a wonderful time while my husband and I were there, but I do have to say, we were very surprised to hear upon check in that we needed to pay a $70/day “Resort fee” on top of our already paid stay, which wasn’t disclosed (or if it was, it was in the smallest of fonts!). There was nothing we could do at the time but agree. Later at the pool, when we asked for our check, we noticed that the service was included, which is perfectly fine, however, the waiter said that that was “only” the service, but not his tip; it was very awkward, and we were sure “service included” means his tip, and on top of the “resort fee”? It seemed like we were politely being taken advantage of left and right. Beautiful resort, amazing rooms, top-notch decor and comfort, but to not even get a couple of bottles of water in the room (we asked for some and they told us to go down to the store or order room service)… not worth the price.
