After a long journey, we arrived at this countryside retreat to find minimal parking and overwhelming noise. Upon entering, an extremely loud party with children was underway. Reception was completely unmanned; messaging the number on the desk just caused the phone sitting right there to buzz with no one to answer. We had to go upstairs and locate a catering staff member to help us check in. ​Our top-floor room in the main building (Suite Andronaco) was directly above the function room, making us feel part of the event. I asked reception about moving to a quieter room, only to be given a blunt, unapologetic "No, it's finishing in an hour, be patient." When I messaged via WhatsApp seeking confirmation that the party would end soon and no others were scheduled, he replied dismissively: "a little patience please" and "I've already told you it's finishing soon." ​This was the worst check-in we’ve experienced in years of travel. Beyond speaking English, the male receptionist lacked basic customer service skills. Key details—breakfast times/location, spa booking info, or a simple offer of assistance—were completely omitted. Throughout our four-night stay, no staff member ever asked how our stay was. Nobody cared. ​The room itself was lovely and clearly well-funded, but the noise and complete lack of hospitality ruined it. Staff desperately need basic service training, and guests must be notified of events in advance. Avoid Suite Andronaco for a quiet stay. We left deeply sad.
