Sampalan Beach Resorts from RM41

"The view and restaurant is indeed lovely and breakfast was good. Unfortunately the resort is not suitable for anyone who isn't completely mobile or elderly.  The numerous stairs, especially without any hand railings made it a struggle and unsafe.  This includes the lower pool, where there is no railing to get out of the pool. I had also expected that the resort/my room would be in the beach.  This isn't the case.  While I had an ocean view, it was obstructed, and getting to the beach required a walk back to the pool, then down the stairs.  Rather disappointing as the photos show something else. And be aware that the stairs going to the bathroom at night are somewhat inconvenient. It's a 3 star hotel, so that's what you're paying for, even despite getting the deluxe ocean view cabin."

"The staff, the service, the food, the resort and amenities - all absolutely brilliant! The downside, however, was the noise disruptions and beach inaccessibility due to the conservation work taking place right in front of the resort. In order to compensate for the inconvenience the hotel manager agreed to offer our group breakfast and 2x meal coupons for the 2x days that we were there. This was much appreciated and the service from the staff was exceptional. Special acknowledgement to Ayu, Wira and all the chefs. We were all vegetarian/vegan and the restaurant staff went out of their way to accommodate our dietary needs. Mr Chathur, Sudi, Wahyu from front desk and management really took care of our needs and did their best to compensate for any inconveniences caused by the conservation work. We had no regrets staying here primarily because of the staff and exceptional service we received which made up for the disruptions. Candi dasa is also a really beautiful part of Bali that's not overcrowded and busy. Perfect for relaxation and quality time with family and in nature. "

"Nice pool with sufficient number of loungers. Breakfast was just ok as some baked goods were not fresh, and quality overall just ok. Would have loved a better selection of fruit and fresh fruit juice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious but washroom small. Convenient to walk to many restaurants and stores."

"Loved the staff, the breakfasts, the afternoon teas, our private pool and all the little details that made our stay special. Some general maintenance of the infrastructure would further improve the property but this did not stand in the way of us loving our stay."

"The room has the perfect view of the animals, and you get to feed them with the food provided by the hotel. Imagine swimming next to Rhinos! The safari itself was a jewel, did not have enough time to explore the whole resort but I was able to see the elephant and tiger show, and I also did the night feeding, definitely a tremendous experience. "The hotel and staff are wonderful! Our room was beautiful and the quality of bedding and linens were 5 star. The morning breakfast was plentiful and excellent! The hotel is located on a steep hill but they have golf carts to take you up and down if you don’t care to walk."

"My wife and I spent two nights at the incredible Samanvaya Resort. Unfortunately this was at the end of our time in Bali, or we likely would have changed plans so we could stay longer. Everything was perfect, from the incredible restaurants to the views. Waking up in our own little villa overlooking the rice terraces was a special experience every morning. The staff deserve an 11/10, going the extra distance to help out at any opportunity. Highly highly recommended!"
