It was situated at the front of the building over some sort of service room with a generator or boiler that emitted a constant drone all through the night. "Daisybank cottage is a must for anyone looking to stay in the New Forest. The room was perfect - spacious, spotless and huge fluffy towels in the bathroom. Lovely touches in the room and so thoughtful. Great breakfast and friendly welcome. Its perfect for various walks without the car to get to start points, and close to pubs and eateries nearby. "Parking wasn't too bad in the Saxon Car park, however managing parking for the duration a bit of a faff to juggle without having to top up in the early hours. WiFi was disappointing especially with the cost of a very basic room. You'd expect it to be free as with many other locations. Even though you pay for it, it's very weak, which was a real pain as it kept dropping and you had to keep signing back in."

"We truly had an amazing stay at Balmers Lawn! We got a really good deal for Easter weekend, and it exceeded expectations on every level. The room was only classified as "standard" yet it was huge, lovely big bathroom, and they had put Easter Craft in the room for the kids. "Not a luxury hotel but for the price its pretty good. The room layout is similar to a chain hotel room and it was clean and tidy. The staff were great and always friendly. I never ate here so cant comment on the food. They have entertainment on at the weekends which you can hear in your rooms but its not excessive and finished at 10 pm each night. I would happily stay here again if i found myself in the area. "
