I arrived at location around 3:30 pm of the reservation date and I found by staff that it was rented to somebody else. No answers by phone of the owner. It was terrible! Very dissatisfied and frustrated after getting there without a place to stay with 2 people at 80's + years old. Terrible! Terrible!

We did our reservations through Expedia and after a long drive to get to the property we were received by a nice man. We explained to him that we had 4 different reservations for one night. He proceeded to make a call to the lady in charge and passed her on to speak to my sister in law after he said we had made reservations online. When my sister in law started to speak to the lady she became very aggressive. The lady was very rude saying that we did not have reservations and that she had nothing else to discuss with her and I believe she hung the phone up on my sister in law. The man called her back and sent her a picture of our reservations and she then changed her attitude. I am not sure what bad day she was having but that is not the way you treat paying customers especially that we had already paid Expedia. Not the right person have running that property.

If it wasn’t for the location this property would not be worth it. However it is right on the strip surrounded by by beautiful beaches and walking distance restaurants and shops. The rooms/ villas are not equipped with air conditioning! Making it really hard to sleep at night. They’re many noisy ceiling fans instead ! This hotel is screaming for an update the beds are very hard and old. Because we are traveling during this pandemic the free breakfast was not provided. They receiving manager at check in took our temperature and gave us sanitizer but your pretty much on your own. My family and I

Second time visit..unsure of a third

Prior to the trip I sent emails about our villa and booking a taxi from the airport to which I did not receive a response. Upon our arrival we did not have a villa on the property. We were walked over to Villas Al Mar Residencias, a different property on the next block without a pool and no view of the ocean. The villa was older, smaller without many of the amenities we would get at the location we booked. Without an explanation we were told we may get a villa on the property we booked within 3 days. Due to an early departure or cancellation, we were given a place after one day. Once we settled, it was evident that staff were under a lot of stress. This was not their fault. We were all dealing with deciding to stay or leave and the staff were being asked to wear masks etc. We were very thankful for assistance as they closed down the breakfast and delivered us a continental plate to our patio. Breakfast, cleaning and gardening staff work incredibly hard and are incredibly helpful and friendly!!! My respect for the hard work they put in every day!

Vorsicht bei dieser Anlage. Ich habe für teuer Geld gebucht und extra noch direkt mit dem Hotel kommuniziert. Als wir dann ankamen wolllte man von der Buchung nichts wissen. Erst hieß es die Anlage sei ausgebucht. Komischer weise war niemand dort. Dann wollte man uns trotz gebuchter und bezahlter Villa in einer winzigen Dackelgarage ohne Küche unterbringen. (Für 115 € pro nacht) dann kamen wir in der Nachbaranlage unter. Das Geld hierfür wollte man noch einmal kassieren. Natürlich in Bar. Ich habe die andere Anlage, die deutlich billiger war, dann direkt über Expedia gebucht und bezahlt. Unser bereits gezahltes Geld wollte man uns nicht mehr zurück geben. Es hat fast drei Wochen gebraucht, bis wir zumindest die Zusage hatten, das Geld zurück zu bekommen. Schoner Urlaub ist anders. Ich kann jeden nur warnen hier zu buchen. Die angebliche Managerin, Josephina, die angeblich auch die Mails in gutem Englisch beantwortet, kann gar kein Englisch und wird, wenn sie überhaupt mal da ist sofort agressiv. Sie hat als sie von Expedia angerufen wurde einfach den Hörer aufgelegt, da sie das Geld, von dem sie behauptete es nicht bekommen zu haben wohl schon ausgegeben hatte. Finger weg von dieser Anlage. Es gibt bessere für deutlich weniger Geld.

Perfect location.

What a wonderful location. Across the street from the Atlantic Ocean you can hear and watch the waves as you sit to have breakfast on the second floor deck of the reception area. The grounds are very clean and the service personnel were very nice. A nice walk down this ship will take you to other restaurants, bars, and all the local vendors while enjoying the oceanfront. I can't wait to go back.

La struttura è veramente bella e caratteristica tipica domenicana. Davvero accogliente. Il personale è super gentile e disponibile: la proprietaria si è svegliata un'ora prima per farci la colazione perché dovevamo partire e questo non è di certo da tutti La proprietaria parla un po' italiano e ci siamo sentiti come a casa L'hotel è proprio sul mare e ha anche una piscina

Weekend experience with friends

Our stay was great. We started out a little bit rough at check-in because they were'nt clear about the quantity of rooms booked or the type of room but at the end, after much talk, it all ended up ok. We were a party of four who booked two pool view rooms. They placed us in two rooms looking at the back of a villa. We complaint and showed the reservation details to the lady at the front desk (office) who happened to be the General Manager. At the begining, she blame it on the site we used to book (hotels.com) saying that they used the wrong description and pictures of the rooms. At the end, and after a long talk, they moved us to a two room, two story villa. In general our experience was good. The breakfast had a wide variety of food and beverages, the service from the staff was great. The beds were very comfortable and clean, the pool was really nice, the villa was recently painted, it had everything you need in a kitchen. The bedrooms had AC and a ceiling fan. The hotel is located across the street from the beach, close to nice little restaurants and bars, everithing within walking distance. All in all, this hotel was a very good choice.

Etablissement bien entretenu et propre

Nous avons fait le tour de la Rép Dominicaine en voiture. L'escale de 3 jours dans cet hotel de Las Terrenas nous a permis de bien nous reposer, prendre le soleil, profiter des massages et réaliser quelques visites comme la chute de Limon : à ne pas manquer !

When we booked it, it said a room with a kitchen, we had a small room with a bed and small refrigerator, very small, could just about walk around the bed!

Hotel cuidado sobre la costa

Es un hotel que está frente a la playa (aunque es casi imposible darse un baño allí por el tipo de playa... con muchas piedras...). Es un alojamiento muy cuidado, la atención es cordial y el desayuno buffet bastante bueno.

An Island on the Island

So very happy to have found this little place! It is NOT an "all inclusive" luxury north-american resort but rather a clean, friendly, comfortable Dominican accomodation. It has a nice swimming pool, a/c, fan, refrigerator, TV, wi/fi, etc. It is quiet during weekdays, a bit busy during weekends but always peacefull at night granting a good sleep. In this Island accomodation varies from the very expensive private village eg. Seahorse Ranch to the rather unbelievable "dens of iniquity". Las Palmas al Mar" is an island within the Island! Close to town, but not too close, directly accross from the beach and walking distance to several nice restaurants ( La Dolce Vita, Le tre Cravelle, etc) makes it an ideal place to visit other locations. The best of it all is Josefina and her staff! They cater to please and make you happy! I strongly reccomend this place which, in many ways, helped in making our holiday a true and very pleasant "Dominican" experience
