The room was very clean and comfortable. Quite steep stairs up to the rooms. Fine if you have no mobility issues. The pub is closed on a monday so food and drink unavailable. Lovely breakfast in the morning. I would stay again.

Charming 16th century coaching inn with original features. The room was clean and tidy if a little plain and tired could do with a make over. TV too small to view comfortably from the bed. Carpet thread bare on the very steep stairs leading to rooms. Food was good breakfast excellent evening meal was good but very expensive with extras attached to many dishes, had to eat in the bar with all the noise, ment we could not converse comfortably over our meal. The price for our dog on trivago was put at £10-00 but the hotel wanted £15-00. It would be nice if you could agree as to who is correct. We will not be returning.

It’s a cute historical building. Easy free parking. The English breakfast and coffee were great! Dining room is beautiful . Staff was very friendly. Room was small but cozy and adequate. Highly recommended!

Great place ..unfortunately was closed for Monday eve meals and drinks (as pub) but stayed and was offered bottled drinks along with a clean and comfortable room .. Breakfast was very good and would definitely recommend

The property has a lot of country charm. The inn and restaurant are quite comfy and the food was delicious! The staff are very attentive. Our room was economical and thus small-ish. The twin beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and neat. Overall, very pleased with the accommodations and service.

Well worth a stay here
Very friendly welcome. Clean spacious bedroom . Dinner in the restaurant was a delight with lovely food choices all freshly cooked Filling breakfast with plenty of tea/coffee So pleased we chose to stay at The Barford Inn en route to a wedding in Frome

Stayed here for 4 nights as part of a trip to Wiltshire. The location is stunning perfect distance between Salisbury, Stonehenge and Shaftsbury. The room was comfortable and well equipped and the pub was amazing. Drinks were well priced and there was a good selection. Food was expensive but looked fantastic. The breakfast was amazing and really set you up for the day. The lady who served breakfast and cleaned our room, Karen, was absolutely brilliant! So friendly and warm. Would definitely go back!

Great stay from start to finish! Staff were very welcoming and professional. Rooms are basic but very clean and have all the amenities needed! Ate in the restaurant, food was really nice and value for money! Great breakfast and again great staff! Will definitely stay there again and recommend to other!

Highly recommended.
Guest rooms are in a separate block. Rooms nice and clean. Good shower. The inn is beautiful. Excellent food and tasty Badgers Bitter. All staff lovely and helpful. Conveniently situated to visit Salisbury and Stonehenge.

Great little place
The Barford Inn was a last minute booking and was an amazing price for the cleanliness and comfort provided, plus a great breakfast included. Olivia the land lady was so friendly and made the stay much more enjoyable.

Booked through Expedia for a one-night stay on Monday night. Slightly unsettled to see on the Monday morning (via Google) that they were "closed" till midday Tuesday! Thankfully a call to the hotel confirmed that the bar/restaurant was closed on Monday evenings, but the hotel side was open and our booking was all confirmed. On arrival the landlord kindly pointed out locations nearby that were be open for food. The room itself wasn't huge, but perfectly adequate size, very clean, well presented and comfortable with a lovely big bed. The room was separate from the main building and bar so shouldn't be disturbed unduly by noise when the bar is open. We had an early start in the morning, so wanted an early breakfast. It arrived quickly and was excellent, set us up properly for the day. The staff were very friendly, and the place has a nice atmosphere. Next time we'll try to arrive when the kitchen's open for supper too.

Lovely Old Coaching Inn
Very nice old coaching inn. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Evening menu quite extensive, reasonably priced and very good quality. Also a good full English breakfast in the morning. The room was quiet and clean with a comfortable bed. Brilliant place for a night stop.

Lovely place. Room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff was excellent and our evening meal and breakfast were really good. Perfect stop-off for our journey to Cornwall. Would stay again.

It was a lovely old building, but the room was sparse, dull and jaded. It lacked quality, comfort and colour. The curtains were coming down on one side. The pub was very large, old fashioned and appeared dull, dark and jaded. The staff were attentive and polite and the food was very good but quite expensive. We explained we would be leaving before breakfast to take part in a charity walk, but weren't offered a discount and already felt the room was over priced.

No sleep and no consideration for guests
Our initial impression of the hotel was good, however as we ate dinner it became apparent that their was a birthday party for the owner taking place which subsequently included karaoke which went on under our room until 4am. My husband went and requested they at least quiten down only to be asked "who are you" when he went into the bar. We got no sleep which ruined our plans for the next day. There was no one to complain to when we checked out. Such a shame as nice hotel and location but won't be visiting again
