Overall a good experience but there’s a few annoying caveats to this.
- Very complicated to get to the actual hotel. It’s up a dirt road outside Salento. We got there on a weekend and therefore the streets were so crowded that it was impossible for the taxi to get us there, so we had to walk about 1 km with our luggage up a muddy dirt road. Fun fact, the hotel actually has a private trail accessible from a Viewpoint in town that is only a 5 minute walk but they fail to mention this before you arrive.
- WhatsApp responses and follow-through on requests is poor. They offered to arrange a taxi for us from Pereira airport and after asking us for our flight info, they went completely silent and didn’t arrange a taxi at all. On the flip side, know that it’s fairly easy at the airport - just walk out and get on a secure taxi in the queue (cost is about 150 000 COP).
- Spa in room : we paid for a private cabin with a spa on the balcony. Surprise, it doesn’t work after 10 PM, and good luck to have it warm up in the morning. We could only enjoy it once during our two night stay.
- Welcome drinks : awesome, you get to the hotel after walking up the muddy trail and they offer you a drink while you check in. Well, surprise, it’s not free and you get charged as you check-out. They fail to mention it’s not offered by the hotel and also fail to mention the price. About 30 000 COP for two beers.
- breakfast : great food but you’ll still be hungry afterwards.
