"This was our first time to stay at Sago Palm, a boutique hotel right in Ocho Rios, within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants. We enjoyed the restaurant at the hotel for breakfast (Jamaican buffet and American menu options). We also walked down the main street to The Almond Tree Restaurant for dinner and were rewarded with a beautiful sunset view overlooking the water."

"If you’re going for a chill vibe for vacation. This is definitely the place. So peaceful and relaxing. The workers are so helpful, nice, really make your experience here. They offer a lot of activities during the day and evening time, on top of the excursions they offer. The food is never missed, it was good and always had options. The gaming room was fun when you wanted to do something a little different than whatever your norm is. They have a fully equipped gym to get a good workout in while on vacation. It was my first time at this resort and it was amazing. I would recommend to people and definitely be coming back. Oh lastly, this is something i noticed while being there but wasn’t too bad for me. The demographic of people here is older white people. You may find your younger couples and POC older or younger couples. But majority is older white which again wasn’t a problem just noticeable"

"This is truly a 5 star resort, from the clean facilities, excellent staff, excellent amenities, beautiful pools, beaches and flowrider to the excellent choices of food. Comfortable room, beautiful ocean view and elevators on every building (so good for wheel chair access). Great night entertainment and top class video game room with about 25 video games including x-box. Great for families or couples. Water slide, kids splash park and all pools are 4 feet or less in depth. I love this resort and will definitely go back. It is worth every penny."

"Positives - Clean and quiet room couldn't hear anyone and they could not hear me Food was good Phelesha Collins an excellent server and there is a lady on the AM shift that works the breakfast area, I did not get her name....we will call her fat legs with the mole on her face. Also genuine and quite nice. Thank you both. Internet was excellent I was able to work, and be a hermit in my room; TV great and phone worked in the room Ocean view was top notch, I want the same room when I come back. Negatives Called their call center and they told me no rooms were available for the dates I selected 3/23-27 yet I was able to book the same dates on a separate media - do you guys not like Jamaicans coming to your hotel I wonder? Staff were lukewarm generally, a few genuinely nice servers - shout out to Phelesha Collins the young lady that was humble and genuine with her service at Mandalay restaurant. Please congratulate her for being consistent, friendly and professional. She ensured I was taken care of. I watched her with other guests and saw that it was not different between foreigner or local. A very pleasant young lady. I am concerned on whether you are treating your staff well. Phelesa a generous tip has been provided for you. Thank you for your service. Please have tokens for the 🎱 table Why are you using artificial sand, please take care of the beachfront entrusted to you by the people of Jamaica. Will I return, yes."

"We arrived at the location after our check-in time we were unable to gain access to the property as the phone number that was listed on the gate did not work and got no answer. The caretaker on the property had no idea we were coming and could not help us. It took several hours for us to gain any information so we’re unable to get onto the property. The exterior of the property does not look anything like its pictures so we could only imagine what the inside looked like. My friend and I were in a panic because we thought we were being scammed. After several hours we were able to contact the owner. She did offered us access to the property or a refund. We chose the refund because we were nervous and not comfortable at all with the location and the conditions."
