Saint John Harbourfront Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This was a beautiful hotel in the downtown area right on the water. Our room overlooked the water and was very comfortable, good lighting, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. It was very convenient to restaurants. We were able to walk to dinner and go for a walk after dinner. We felt very safe. This hotel is 7 minutes from the ferry over to Digby which we were taking very early the next morning. Unfortunately we couldn't get the breakfast which I am sure was lovely as we had to be at the ferry by 7:00 and breakfast didn't start until 6:30. That was our only complaint. A 6:00 breakfast would have been helpful."

"Our room was of generous proportions and included a full kitchen and a small sitting area with two upholstered chairs. Bathroom was lovely, in fact the whole unit and building was charming! We found that the window air conditioner together with the ceiling fan kept the room a comfortable temperature."

"First, NO elevator. If your room is on the second floor you have to carry your luggage up and down. Air conditioning struggled but it was OK. Room itself was nice, large, and comfortable. Not sure about all the rooms however ours had air jets in the bathtub. Not sure I would stay in St. John again however if I did and I decided I would be OK with the stairs I would probably stay here again. Note: they have limited parking."

"Difficult to lock exterior door if on a main floor room. Little privacy if on a main floor rooms as you back on to the parking lot. If you want to open curtains in the morning people walking or driving by can see into your room. Would be nice to have sheers to have a little more privacy. "
