Just awful. Bed like custard, no breakfast, nobody there at 9.15 in the morning. Too hot, rad on full. Bathroom freezing.

Absolute gem of a hotel
A lovely hotel with lots of character we stayed in the family room and it was huge loads of space immaculately clean and fresh smelling great breakfast too!!

Good for short stop over
Very friendly breakfast lady, good choice of breakfast food. Lots of building character. Bed wasn't very comfortable. 5 - 10mins walk there's pubs with food.

Nice country hotel good for hikers
Good standard English hotel with friendly reception (Chris) who gave us a lot of tips about where to go for food and other suggestions and showed a genuine interest in holding conversation with us. The breakfast was alright (typical fry-up), though the lady taking our orders got so confused by my husband's French accent that she ran laughing off without taking my order. I blame therefore my husband for not getting the breakfast I wanted to order :P Anyway, we would go back and stay there again as it was overall a very comfortable place (but I will order breakfast the next time).

The only thing I could comment on would have been communication from the property, regarding checking in, it was non existent. It would have been helpful to have instructions on checking in (it was a non person) check in. Even sent several messages and emails regarding this, but got an email back just confirming check in date again, which we already knew.

Comfortable country hotel
We had chosen this hotel, as it was close to a function we were attending and following nice reviews. We were not disappointed. A lovely small hotel ,with helpful ,professional staff ,and comfortable rooms . They don't serve dinner ,but several good pubs nearby. Breakfast was excellent . We would certainly stay again if in the locality

A lovely, old, historic property with a heated conservatory and a garden with outside tables. The receptionist was relaxed, friendly and went out of his way to help us when we had a problem. The buffet breakfast was good and the waitresses were attentive and helpful. We were accommodated on the ground floor in the stable block as we had a dog. This worked well. I would definitely go back. Thank you to all the staff.

This spot was excellent jumping off spot for Cambridge and Duxford. The room was nice and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our breakfasts there.

Lovely hotel
We stayed here to attend the Battle of Britain Air show at Duxford which was just up the road. We had a lovely stay, staff were brilliant and breakfast was great. Booked a family room which was really spacious. They also had a big toy box in the room for our little boy which was a really nice touch. Will definitely return when we come back for the Air show.

Great place to stay.
Friendly prompt sercice on arrival, lovely room with great shower. Ive provably had a breakfast as good as this before, but i cant remember where, it was delicious!!

Amazing classic property with plenty of history to it. We stayed in room 18 which was huge, almost a suite! Very friendly staff and even though we were there mainly as a base to visit Duxford for the Air Show, we visited the pretty village on our first evening and had a very nice Thai meal at The Crown & Thistle

Brilliant staff……
The Crown Inn Hotel is in need of refurbishment in the stables. However any negative is made up by the amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble, all went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. I must also mention the splendid breakfasts which were EXCELLENT!

A warm welcome but all the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Jane, the cook.A nice quiet location with off road parking. A pleasant room in the stable block. Will stay again. The breakfast set us up for the day.

Excellent hotel - great place to stay
The hotel went out of their way to help us as we needed taxis to and from the party venue. They also booked us into a local Pub so we could have dinner before the party. We had an excellent breakfast priced at, £10 per person which was delicious with a lot of home sourced. We had a very large bed and an excellent walk in shower. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was spotless. We highly recommend this hotel.

Advertised as hotel and resturaunt but only breakfast being served from kitchen at the moment. Very friendly and walkable to two pubs with food in the village. Some nice walking locally but also some private land with points of interest that don't have access ;-(

The overall stay at the hotel was nice staff was very friendly think it’s a bit overpriced for what u get there was also a few dusty areas with a few hanging cobwebs about breakfast was nice but not enough on your plate so could do with being bigger an also think it needs a wider selection of choices for breakfast an expensive if not included in the stay

The building is lovely and old, could do with some TLC and updating in the bedroom and bathroom. I felt the the evening staff were unwelcoming, I felt like an inconvenience to their day! I was also a little shocked when I was told they leave once the last person is checked in at night! Not very professional, someone should always be on duty! The staff in the morning were polar opposites, they were happy, kind looked after us treated us like the guests we are! I wouldn’t stay there again as the evening staff really put me off!

Needs a lot work, that has gone beyond maintenance. £110 is very over priced for an Executive Suite, that has cracked ceilings and walls, window frame is rotted and broken and a floor so uneven it feels like you have only one shoe on. Staff were friendly but this should be more in the £50-60 per night range. No restaurant is available at hotel. Breakfast was ok
