"Not a typical layout for hotel as rooms are located around the property, but this just adds to the wonderful setting. Parking was easy, location to town is walkable if you want...about a mile, but nice and safe. The views are outstanding, even from my standard room. Dinner and breakfast was both wonderful. "The Quinta da Moita is out of the way of the Douro Valley but well worth the detour. I stayed there 3 nights on a solo trip. The owners are fantastic, very sweet. The place is perfect for quiet respite, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast! I recommend to anyone for solo stay or couple gateaway! Their wines are great too! Just make sure to have food for dinner if you want to relax for the evening as everything is pretty far. But the drive is gorgeous and fun! "
