Great location and well recommended

Amazing staff all very professional. Food tasty, well cooked and plentiful. Hotel in great position with lovely grounds to explore plus lots of outside seating. Would give it 5 stars but disappointed with lack of a fridge in our upgraded room.

As a high end hotel you should experience top rate hotel. Being the start of the season you would expect the hotel to be in prime condition as it’s not cheap. The staff are lovely ask and they will do their best to help. But our room smelt of smoke (put air con on 15 minutes later clear, the room/suite could do with upgrading. But my soppy gripe why have painting done by someone that can’t cut in. It looks cheap and not professional. This is evident in many areas. The front of the hotel needs a good gardener and paving tidying up. Plenty of parking the pool is clean and nice area to enjoy and relax. Silly extras £1.50 for a towel £5 for a better internet connection a day. You’re already paying a high price it’s greed. The breakfast is just an average breakfast have seen far better displays in a b and b. But it’s ok it works but not 5 star. The hand rail from ground floor to 1st floor stairs is loose and grime covers the underside over the length, towels in corridor areas where the glass roof leaks and gutters need cleaning not nice but easily sorted. There not major issues but you are charging for a top hotel.

A relaxing getaway.

We had a wonderful time and some much needed relaxation. I would go for a room with a lakeside view as it is beutiful and to look out on. Just watching the herons and swans, from our room or from the bar was lovely. All the staff were helpful and friendly, especially Gary, the night porter. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed for one night for an anniversary celebration. Checked in to the room and it was dated. The information booklet was not updated as when we tried to order a sandwich from room service we were told no even though it’s stated in the info book. Took it up with the duty manager the next day and was told I should have received room service it was just that the manager that night couldn’t be bothered!! Wow what customer service!! When we asked for a gesture of good will was also told no!! Customer service is severely lacking here. I won’t be booking to stay here again which is unfortunate and would say to anyone thinking of booking to maybe look around for a place that actually values customers and their complaints.

Heat and a member of staff walking the beat

The restaurant was quite chilly when we arrived for afternoon tea and it wasn’t much warmer when we left. Even though there is a sign on the door that states something along the lines of “no phones or photographic equipment is allowed in the spa” there were two young lads on there phones for about an hour. It wasn’t until I highlighted the fact to the member of staff behind the desk, that anything was done about, even though it was clear to see on the cctv monitor that they had their phones out. My friend and I felt very awkward for that time until the duty manager came and dealt with them.

Lac et spa

Bel hôtel situé dans un joli cadre avec le lac. Les chambres sont spacieuses, de même que la salle de petit-déjeuner et restauration qui offre une très belle vue sur le parc et le lac. Le spa est aussi un plus bien appréciable. Enfin le personnel est très sympathique.

Back to 80s

Very dated hotel in lovely location. On arrival we were not expected and it took 20 minutes for very nice night porter to work out what to do with us. Spa treatments were ok. Spa itself very disappointing. Hot tub could fit maximum 3 people same as indoor jacuzzi, both at looking like 20 years old. Steam room didn’t have very steam on and was cold with dirty seats and floor. This hotel is**** due to its facilities Like swimming pool and spa but not due to the standard. It is max **. Breakfast on first day was freshly cooked and nice. However if you do not like cooked breakfast there was nothing but toast and jams and 2 joghurts. On second day cooked breakfast was in the form of buffet with was cold, soggy and putting customers off. For frequent travellers this place will be huge disappointment as traveller would expect different standard at **** establishment.

Easy to get to, nice room, lovely bathroom, good car park. Lovely breakfast, only issue our name wasn't on the breakfast list and we were questioned by a staff member, she did let us start eating etc and the later confirmed we were on the list, she had an out of date list, this did make us feel uncomfortable and worried about our booking as we knew we had booked the breakfast. Everything else was fine and the man behind the desk was nice and polite. We stayed in this hotel a few years ago and it was the same.

A relaxing stay in Isle of Wight

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a hotel for a two-night getaway, and overall, it was a good and relaxing experience. The hotel's convenient location, excellent service, and serene ambiance made for a memorable stay. However, I did come across a minor issue with mould near the shower area, which slightly dampened my experience. The service at the hotel was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive to my needs. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was providing helpful local recommendations or promptly addressing any concerns, their commitment to excellent customer service was evident throughout my stay. The hotel exuded a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, offering a much-needed escape from the bustling city. The serene surroundings and comfortable amenities helped create a calming ambiance, allowing me to unwind and recharge. The room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. However, I did encounter a minor issue during my visit. While using the shower, I noticed some mould near the shower area. Although it was not extensive, it was a concern that should be addressed to maintain the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards of the hotel. While it didn't significantly impact my stay, I believe that regular maintenance and thorough inspections would help prevent such issues in the future.
