"What bar? Had a pimms, only citrus fuits and two raspberries, no apple, no cherry, no cucumber. Staff excellent, especially at breakfast. Unfortunately we had to pay for parking!!"

"Stayed here with my husband for 4 nights while visiting a relative in the area. While the hotel is a little dated decor-wise the lounge areas, conservatory & the bedroom we had were very spacious & very clean. The restaurant for breakfast is really nice & while the food & service was good a bit of variety on the fruit options would have been welcome - melon & pineapple on all the days we were there is a bit boring! First hotel buffet breakfast I've come across that also didn't offer any yogurt...

"The hotel was comfy, clean and close to local amenities. Staff were friendly and happy to help with any queries. Breakfast was lovely with a nice selection of food. Room was cosy and everything needed to make the stay enjoyable e.g. fast wifi, hairdryer, iron etc. Would stay here again :-)"

"Breakfast was delicious, easy parking, there’s also an overflow parking on the other side of the road (sister hotel). We stayed in York, room was clean, enjoyed the jacuzzi, however the mattress needs an upgrade. Overall great stay! "

"We paid extra for delux rooms and our daughter’s room shower was running slow. The next morning was non existent so they showered in our room When we said about it when we left they said we should have turned the shower head to make the water run better Our argument is that surely it should be correct before we arrived Breakfast took an hour to come out and was ok Other than that it was clean"

"hotel is dated, windows, glass is literally falling outta rotting wooden frames, plumbing is noisy, full of air blocks, and all main staircases are outdated and creaky ! showers are hit and miss with no pressure in some whilst others are dangerously hot !"

"Beautiful property with the best ocean view, in a classic old building. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and courteous. It is on a hill above Bournemouth, so accessing the town means walking up and down a steep hill. This was not a problem for us, but something to consider if you have mobility issues."

"Room was very clean as was the bathroom. Very friendly team who were on hand and always willing to help. Dave and Phil were excellent hosts. Bar was reasonably priced as well with comfortable seating. "

"The bedroom was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The parking was convenient and felt safe. Breakfast was varied and good quality. we used the pool and sauna and steam. All in good working condition, although the sauna could do with a deep clean between the wooden slats and underneath the benches. We also enjoyed wonderful treatments in a spa. The therapists really were great."

"Excellent location, fantastic staff however as it's and old building floors creek, was very noisey. I wouldn't return as I prefer more Modern hotel, bed small, could hardly move in bathroom and tv in a ridiculous location. Breakfast average, pool small. Was very clean. "
