The staff member who checked us in was friendly and professional . It went downhill from there. Our room was really cold as if the A/C had been permanently on. We tried to use the wall controls to adjust the temperature but nothing happened. We reported the issue to reception and also that the heated towel rail wasn’t working as we thought this might warn the room up. Receptionists tried to adjust temp via ipad to no avail. We said we were going out to eat and were reassured the room would be up to temperature on our return. When we got back to our room later on the room was exactly the same. We went down to reception and were told the manager would come and speak to us . A member of staff came up to say they had ‘reset’ the boiler and to give it half hour. Nothing could be done with the towel rail. Half hour later I rang down to say the room was still really cold, the guy on reception apologised but said nothing could be done until the next day when we were leaving anyway the hotel had a wedding reception and there was noise until late, we asked to move rooms but the hotel was full so this wasn’t possible. On checkout I again mentioned the issues with our room - temperature, noise and showed a photo of the thick dust on the bedside tables. The pvc was also peeling badly on the headboard. The room looked very tired and seemed to us we were out in this room as the wedding guests were in the better rooms. We saw no manager during our stay. I emailed the hotel, no response
