Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Little touches like tissues and shower cap in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Would definitely stay again

I had a very comfortable stay here. Firstly I enjoyed very much an evening meal on site. The room was well equipped and comfortable with a first class shower. It was very quiet and I had a restful night. Breakfast once again was first class with a wide choice and very enjoyable with no time pressure. I was able to enjoy a nice walk whilst there with woodland walks starting within a few hundred yards of the accommodation. There was nothing that I did not like about the accommodation and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

It was not a new place but that was what I liked. The ambiance of an old style inn. Staff were very pleasant. Would stay there again.

We only stayed for one night, but had a lovely stay! Room was great with lots of space (and the boys appreciated the large TV!). Breakfast in the morning was delicious with so many great options. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location, gorgeous breakfast.
Lovely hotel in great area, Tunbridge Wells near to travel to. Only downside to room was bed mattress to firm...personal preference but wasn't great sleep for deluxe double.

Good overnight stopover.
Overnight stay was in a very comfortable ground floor bedroom which was quietly situated. Dinner served in the olde worlde bar / restaurant was good quality and promptly served.

Nice staff, alright food, needs a refurb.
Still trying to figure out how this place has such high reviews. Bathroom covered in mould in the shower (including the shower head!). The mattress felt ancient and lumpy. Food was pretty good though. Definitely not good enough for the room rate I paid (I would say I've stayed in rooms for £70 a night that are much better). Generally just a very tired place. Staff were all nice though.

This is a proper pub, with a nice feel about the public areas. The accommodation is at the back, so is quiet, and the room we stayed in was spacious, although quite old fashioned with heavy brown furniture. We thought the service and food were excellent.

Very good overall but shower needs attention, black mould on head of shower. Cup still stained. Very warm in room as no aircon but was humid. Very pleasant staff & good breakfast.

Booking in was fast, easy and friendly. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. When visiting the area we would very much consider using the premises again.

Have stayed a couple of times here on business. Food is excellent and the general atmosphere of the pub is really nice. Also the staff are friendly & helpful - you go so many places these days and the service is sadly lacking but not here

Although the hotel was a little in need of refurbishment, it was comfortable and the food was very good. The EV charging station in the car park was very useful for us.

We enjoyed our stay - we needed to be in Kent the next day for business. We were made welcome and shown to our room, which was well-equipped and comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel and we both enjoyed our meal - well prepared and well served. We liked the family feel of the hotel, and set off the next morning after an excellent cooked breakfast. Recommended!

Check in was slow with an elderly man who wasn’t very welcoming and hardly spoke. The room needs a thorough clean, food on the floor, cobwebs everywhere and rubbish under the bed. No water overnight, when it came back on it was brown sludge so couldn’t shower !! Breakfast was good although my husband had shell in his egg. We complained at checkout but lady apologised but wasn’t interested at all she mentioned they’d had issues all week with the water!! We should have been told this as we would have booked else where. Very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel.

This characterful hotel gave us a very happy stay. We received exceptional kindliness and a warm welcome. The owner even got up super early to make early Saturday breakfast for us. Thank you all for a great stay!

Room was awful - bed was so creaky we didn’t get much sleep, the room smelt musty and there was dust all over the lamp and in the corners, hairs in the shower. Probably one if the worst places I have stayed and not that cheap either!!

Perfect for a pleasant night before flying.
We stayed here the night before our flight from Gatwick. It was very convienient for the airport but much more peaceful than being closer to it. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the food was outstanding. We had an evening meal in the pub that was delicious and the breakfast was excellent. We will choose to stay here again.

Fantastic breakfasts and friendly staff. We were there for 6 nights and should have booked the larger room. Our room was small and appeared dark but overall very good.
