"Nice property in a great location. The beech and pubs are only a few minutes walk away. Needs a bit of TLC, one kitchen cupboard has come away from its adjacent unit, freezer drawers broken handles and both bathroom hand towel and toilet roll holders are loose. The kitchen could be better equipped, e.g. needs some digital scales, some bowels better for cereal, new saucepans and a sieve. Only one fan was provided, in a heatwave this wasn't enough - I did contact the letting agency, but had no...

"Location is excellent, meals were very good, plus gluten free, and vegetarian options, staff were friendly, and helpful, evening entertainment good, building and bedrooms need updating. Close to shops, bus and train stations."

"Once you park your car be careful of flying marquee also our room shower kept leaking. It was hard to sleep and they were loading and unloading beer kegs and at night after 10 pm making noise. Well we’re trying to sleep and the food with atrocious as the fish on the Friday was burnt and the fish inside the batter was like plastic however Sukhi the lady who served us brilliant waitress 10 out of 10"

"It was a lovely property very close to the beach and Paignton 10 minute walk into centre. It was on a busy road which was a bit noisy at night but with the windows closed it was fine. We were provided with a fan which kept us really cool. I would recommend this place. I think it’s really nice for a breakaway owners were really helpful nice breakfast all you could ask for🙂 a big smile"

"Lovely stay, just a few yards from the sea front. Lisa and Christophe made us feel very welcome. The swimming pool was great and just what you need after a long drive or busy day around Torbay. The breakfasts we enjoyed each morning were delicious and kept us full throughout the day. Would definitely return and highly recommend a stay at the lovely Charterhouse if you're looking for somewhere to stay in Torquay."
