"Property is being renovated. Construction materials all over and noise from renovation. The room had construction dust and needed a deep clean. I’m sure it will be adequate when finished."

"Old, but neat. Small, but cute. Very friendly and helpful manager. Very reasonable price. Window AC unit was old and did not work well. We were immediately moved to a slightly larger room where the AC worked well. Manager said they were gradually replacing the AC units. This is a motel. Just a place to sleep. Felt safe, but right on a main road. Would prefer to see a deadbolt added rather than just a door lock."

"Really loved the vibe at Pine Cottage. Room was very clean and ours had a great view, comfortable mattress. Guests can relax on the porch chairs and the breakfast was great. Would stay again."

"The inn is old so know you are going to hear people above you and doors closing. Very creaky floors. The check-in was ok. The woman was very rude. Not friendly and more interested in reading her paper. The young ladies later on in the day were smiley and friendly. Late afternoon check-in was nice dealing with them. Breakfast was good the gentleman is there watching and replacing items. Great location. Beautiful gardens. We did not use the pool. But bc we were close by heard all the noise. I...

"Staff were easy to reach and knowledgeable. Rooms were on the other side of the island near woods restaurant which was a lovely reprieve from the bustle of downtown. We had a really great experience."

"It is a pet friendly hotel they have a designated area for travellers with pets. Nice that you can walk and see the lake. Friendly staff, clean rooms."

"Nice older hotel. No microwave or fridge in room. No bike parking, needed to move bikes in the evening down a block next to Doud’s market. Didn’t hear other guests’ noise in the evenings as we have in other Mackinac hotels. Sauna/pool area was a very nice amenity. The little balcony was a good enough space in the mornings for coffee and got no direct sunlight, which was fine for us."

"Housekeeping doesn’t make your bed they put towels and empty the trash that’s it. When we checked in they never told me that there are free shuttles to the port to take the boat to Mackinac Island. It was okay hotel."
