Lovely location, incredibly charming and helpful staff. Food was actually very good also, I was surprised. The hotel itself is a bit run down and the rooms aren't wonderfully appointed (a bit shabby across the board) but the staff and location go a long way to making up for that.

Lovely hotel in a location with a great view over the river and the Wye Valley. Room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were great - helpful, friendly and efficient. The food was good both at dinner and breakfast with a wide choice of options. The hotel is only a short walk from the town centre which makes it a good base to explore Ross town. The only minor negative note is that the road the hotel stands on is a bit on the narrow side and the junction to join the main road can be a little tricky if you want to turn right (back into Ross town).

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the room was extremely large, bathroom extremely small and dated. Lovely old hotel in a beautiful setting. Our check in was very easy , all staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a gorgeous superior room which was so comfortable with stunning views across the river. We also enjoyed 2 lovely evening meals which were reasonably priced with plenty of choices available. Plus, as the weather was so hot, we were able to enjoy a cool drink whilst sitting on the terrace overlooking the river. Would highly recommend this hotel and wouldnt hesitate to stay there again.
