We liked the room and the location but this overall was a disappointing stay. A/C didn’t work in the heat of summer. Rather than move us or fix the AC or give us appropriate compensation, they gave us a fan halfway through our stay. It didn’t work very well. Staff at the front desk were kind and courteous, but were junior members and lacked the authority to actually do anything about our A/C issues, whether that was moving to a new room, providing a discount, or fixing the A/C. They ran everything by the off-site manager, who sadly did nothing to help and although we were diligent about communicating even after we left, just ignored our last email and now has stopped responding. It is inappropriate to have us pay full price for an expensive hotel with a broken AC when it is 85 degrees F / 29.4 degrees C in the summer in Rome. Never had this experience at another hotel. Place could otherwise use a deep clean.

Our room was disappointingly tiny. The bathroom was too tiny to use. The glass shelf had been broken and tilted so all the toiletries slid off. There was supposed to be a coffee maker in the room. There wasn’t, so having a coffee cup was useless. The only bright spot was the staff. We were treated well on check in by a great young woman who did everything she could.

Avoid! TOTAL SCAM

Avoid this place!!! Total SCAM. We booked this place that is out of the way for the only reason that the suite had an outdoor bathtub. The hotel’s site, Expedia and hotel.com had images of the bathtub and listed it as a facility. When we got there we were told hadn’t been working for months!!! The Management is absolutely USELESS, rude, condescending and with no solutions. We saved for months for this trip and there was zero compassion. We felt totally scammed!

This place was great, and very tech savy! Everything was done with the ipad (Lights, tv, air conditioning, etc). You also had access to English television. Cute location - 8 min walk to colesseum.

We were happy here

We were really happy to be away from the crowds but close to Circus Massimus. The room was really nice with two balconies. One balcony has a foot bath. In the photos it looked weird but nice with a fountain. In person it was a mucky green oozing mess. Which was fine, we didn't need it. But probably a mosquito heaven in summer. Beware of the iPads that operate everything. They die and you have to take them downstairs to unlock after recharging. The room shook when big trucks went by on the cobblestones. But it was quiet otherwise. Check out the nearby Testacchio market and Testacchio Restaurant. Everything else was great. Easy access to taxis, metro, etc. There was a delightful breeze across the room from balcony to balcony.

Comfortable stay

The rooms were nice but I was mis sold the junior suite as it did not include the amenities as advertised. No jacuzzi bath, no fireplace, no iPad and no slippers. The jacuzzi inperticular was the main reason we booked this room as it was a special occasion. Breakfast is terrible and not what I usually expect from a hotel breakfast, only offering a croassaint some toast and biscuits. Upon raising my issue to the front desk they were no help and tried to make it out to be my fault that I selected the ‘black’ junior suite instead of the white one that comes with all the things advertised. Shocking service and not onceapologetic for there mistake.

Room was cold despite adjusting the heat to the highest level Room was noisy - much road noise; also it had strong vibrations from the tram lines and traffic. The steps in the entrance from the road was quite dirty with trash.

The location was perfect for us, and the bed was very comfortable. Our little room was on the ground floor near the foyer, so would advise upgrading away from the bar if you are not a party animal. Saturday night was noisy until 02:30. Nice places for breakfast nearby.

The hotel itself is beautiful, especially it’s outdoor bar and the rooms, and it’s in a very convenient place to walk to Monti or Tratesvere, or over to the centre of town. We loved our room, our only complaint would be that the TV system wasn’t super smooth to use and was a bit buggy at times, and we couldn’t figure out how to change the room temperature! Otherwise, it was gorgeous and very minor :)

Nice hotel in nice area, good base to explore Rome

Great staff friendly and helpful. Room nice but needed bit of maintenance with paint bubbling and peeling on one wall which showed signs of mould, perhaps a plumbing issue or something... Mod cons I.e. TV in the mirror and iPad controlled along with the lighting was a nice touch, although it stopped working a couple of times so perhaps WiFi needs improving a little. Overall a nice stay, room clean and nicely furnished.

Good from afar....

A lovely hotel on the surface, but scratch the thin surface and faults are found beneath... ipad controller for electronics in room worked about 40% of the time, wifi was very intermittent, tv kept turning itself on and off randomly, air con was not strong enough for size of room.... but on the other hand, bed was comfy and bathroom was a good size... just a little bit more work and the hotel could be perfect!

My Best Hotel Experience in Rome.

Stayed five nights. The hotel is a small elegant gardened villa set on a modernist boulevard in the very upscale Avertino area amid a string of very good restaurants and cafes, and with bus and tram stops just opposite. Reaching it by public transportation could not be simpler. I had a large Supieor Double on the first floor with a king bed with a top quality pillow top mattress, and black out curtains. The room featured wood parquet floors, ormate plaster moldings, a fireplace (non working),a smart TV with English news channels, tea kettle set, a large walk in shower, and two comfortable armchairs to relax in after a day exploring Rome. It is walking distance to the nearby sites of Ancient Rome such as the Forum and Coloseum and beyond. Trastevere is a few quick stops away on the T3 tram and Trastevere Station a few stops further on same tram for getting to and from FCO.

Lovely hotel within 15 min walk to Colosseum

This was the first hotel we stayed at on our honeymoon and it was wonderful. The room was modern and hi-tech (iPad to control lights and TV which was in the mirror). There is a bar in the gardens which we went to for a drink on a couple of nights. The hotel staff were helpful and advised us on places to eat and using the metro. Lots of restaurants within a 10 minute walk.

Exceeds Expectations And Value

The Corner Rome exceeded all of my expectations. For friends or a romantic Rome getaway, this friendly and attentive boutique hotel has everything you need. I have since given this hotel to friends who are planning their Rome vacation, and plan to return sometime in the next 6 months. Tremendous value, tremendous experience!

Unexpected Gem

What a beautiful hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations of things to do. We were upgraded to a very fancy room with a TV inside the mirror. Just a lovely find. Great location. We were able to walk to the Colosseum, Circo Massimo, Boca della Verita, and the Pyramid that is connected to the cemetery where Shelley and Keats are buried. Absolute perfect spot, would stay again!

Lovely location , perfect stay, so romantic

Stayed as a couple on romantic trip. Room gorgeous with lovely views, just perfect, beautifully decorated clean and spotless . Great atmosphere in and around the hotel - next to chic restaurants and bars. Great for a evening walk down to the Colosseum and other points of interest. Very close to Metro station (metro very easy to use and cheap too!) I love this place so much and we will be returning. Breakfast just delightful !

Price is good but reflects lack of detail

The place is recently redone, but they really seemed to do a surface job. They have an iPad that operates the room, but ends up being more of a pain in the butt, then a convenience. Front desk was not there when we showed up. Place is super lax on attentiveness. Played loud techno in lobby. Would rather stay at a slightly older place with greater attention to the details that make a guest feel welcome and comfortable. When we went to pay 7 euro hotel tax as our cab waited outside with a 10 euro bill they didn't even have three euro change.

Great location, updated and modern

Loved the hotel. It was a great location but away from the crazyness of downtown Rome. Very clean. Rooms are a tad small but very comfortable. Loved having a balcony. Street noise from cars can be loud at times- in the am.

Excellent position easy walk to the colosseum

Nice boutique hotel. Staff are friendly and by helpful. Lovely room with small balcony. The TV is built into the mirror (all you see is the mirror until you switch on the TV) Really nice terrace bar. The hotel is on a main dual carriageway within easy walking of Rome centre. A Taxi to the Vatican cost 15€. Some nice restaurants nearby. All in all highly recommended.

Two nights at a new hotel.

2 night stay for business meetings at the nearby FAO. The hotel is conveniently placed - also near antiquities, the metro and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful; Reception is open 24 hrs/day; the hotel was newly refurbished, the bed was comfortable, WiFi worked well and the price was very competitive. On the downside, the room was quite small, near Reception and quite noisy, the TV was controlled by a tablet, which kept running out of battery and the room smelled of drains at certain times of day; breakfast was included, but rudimentary. Would I stay there again? Probably yes, because of the convenience, if the price was attractive.
