My stay at Mood 44 was wonderful! It’s right in the middle of shops and restaurants, but you’d never know it inside your sound-proof room. The check-in was simple and well explained, and although I didn’t see any staff on property, they responded very promptly to all of my messages and questions. Very grateful they could accommodate me at the last minute, and thankful to stay in this wonderful place.

Not As Advertised
I have worked in the service industry, and I seldom leave a harsh review, however, I was quite disappointed with our stay at Mood 44 as the room what not as advertised, and there was no service. We booked a room with a king and double bed, and instead we got two singles pushed together and a pull-out couch. The pull-out couch mattress was old, worn and you could feel the springs in your back. The hotel was in a good location, but if you are looking to spend 500 Euro/Night on a hotel in Rome, spend your money elsewhere.

while thanking you for your contribution we are sorry you did not appreciated your stay. We just wanted to add that the reservation was for a quadruple apartment with one double bed and two single beds which is what was provided. Although it is true that our double bed is made up of two matresses pushed together they are covered by a double sheet and such procedure is common at least in our city so different types of beds can be prepared according to ones needs. Your reservation was also a last minute one for the last availability in the peak season hence the rate reflected that as it changes considerably according to season and availability.Warmest regards

We enjoyed our stay at Mood44. It did not quite live up to the billing on Expedia. The rooms are showing a little wear and tear. The bed was very firm, my wife thinks too firm. The pillows were not the best quality. Everything worked as it should with good water pressure and enough hot water. We could not get on Wi-Fi with the code they gave us the first day and since there is no one on site, it takes a while to communicate via email. We finally used WhatsApp the second day to improve the speed and we got help getting the proper Wi-Fi codes. The location is stellar. We loved how easy it was to get around Rome. Even with the minor issues, we’d stay here again.

Pluses for this lodging Location, Clean, Safe Negatives Not a hotel therefore no front desk staff, no bar or breakfast/dining offered or available in the complex. It is a building converted to small apartments. For any assistance you have to call a sister hotel. The staff there is helpful but hard to contact at times meaning you could call and get no response. Some of the amenities offered or marketed were not available i.e. free shuttle service to the airport and terrace access.

Mood 44- A Secret Gem!
Mood 44 is in a great location. It is clean and it’s perfect for the seasoned traveler. Even though there is not a front desk, the concierge is readily accessible via text and Whats App to make all of your reservations. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only small complaint is that they need to buy new blow dryers for the rooms. A wonderful experience!

Mood 44 was an okay hotel for our need to have one night to sleep before heading south to Amalfi. The check-in process is entirely online so make sure you send your passport and vaccine info, that is how you get the code for entry. Otherwise there is no on-site staff to let you in and you may be locked out. Check-in process was fairly simple - use the code to enter the main door and you room key will be sitting on a side table. The most disappointing thing about this hotel was the lack of amenities that were advertised. The website says breakfast is provided and there is a rooftop patio for drinks - however, there was no breakfast provided and the patio was locked and closed.

We loved our stay. The staff were so efficient and friendly over email and phone. The self check in process was very easy and efficient. The location is the best with all of the top attractions a short walk away. The room feels like a luxury hotel. I would highly recommend this place!

It was a lovely property - surprisingly quiet considering the decibel of most Italian scooters. It felt recently renovated and our small suite was very spacious for the two of us. The bathroom was fantastic and the bed was quite comfortable. They were under strict covid restrictions so the entire check in/out process was without contact. Everything worked like a charm. Would definitely stay here again!

Extremely comfortable bed and nice bathroom where I enjoyed a bath. Nice linens and spacious. Very reasonable in January. I wasn’t told about WiFi voucher numbers, but figured it out, although I didn’t have cell service there with my Italian SIM card. Pretty good location, not far from many attractions. I ordered a taxi to the train station at 7 AM and he was there right on time.

Best little hotel in Rome
The best hotel stay of this trip. Extremely clean, modern, functional and comfortable hotel. The neighborhood is very noisy with moped traffic but the room was so well insulated that we were not aware of the noise. The location is great - it's only 18-minute walk to the colosseum and other major sites. Roberto was very helpful in arranging our transfer to the airport and making our small group tour (6 people) of the ancient ruins and colosseum. The guide was excellent! Note: Transfer service is twenty Euros cheaper than UBER so I highly recommend this service.

Best hotel in Rome...
Mood 44 could not have been better. The boutique experience began as soon as we were gratuitously greeted at the door. Check-in was smooth and we were able to check-in early after a long over-night international flight. We were walked escorted to our door and the room was amazing. Clean, updated and a trendy. His and hers closets and drawers - slippers in the bathroom - a refrigerator and safe. A separate room for living space - the breakfast was a treat and we felt like we were alone in a serviced home. Location is in the heart of everything you want to walk to - really the best hotel in Rome!

Great location, even better rooms.
Simply great! The location was amazing, very close to all the main sights and close to restaurants and the Jewish district etc. 30 min. walk to the colosseum and otherwise a great area close to shops and the old town. The room itself was excellent, I was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and incredibly spacious, especially by European standards. The bathroom was clean with a rainfall shower and was also very spacious and nicely separated from the sleeping area. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit Rome again.
