The staff was very nice and helpful, hotel room was nice. Unfortunately the time I went they are undergoing construction so I didn’t get to enjoy the full experience of the hotel.

One-Night Business Trip Disappointment
I had high-expectations for my one-night stay at the hotel. but my overall experience was a disappointment. To list a few unpleasant surprises: - No one helped me with my bags (or attempted to) upon arrival or check-in. - mini bar was empty, no snacks or fruits in the room. called the room service and reception multiple times and they promised to fill the mini bar up...it took 4 hours. They sent me a complimentary basket of fruit and desert as an apology (that was nice but it came at 1 am in the morning!) Overall, it was overpriced with below average service and experience.

This is a good hotel that used to be run by Kempinski. I’ve stayed here more than 5 times. Now after being run by Marriot, the experience changed in a negative manner.

I am used to this hotel but this time it was not up to my expectations. The Executive lounge service and menu was quite disappointing. The only good thing was the staff at Reception desk. The hotel needs a brand management as it was in the past.

Bathroom flooded (leaking shattaf and shower not draining), marble plinth on which the sink is located had sharp edges. Check-in very slow and check-out staff slow and unhelpful (no real understanding of customer service). Very surprised that the hotel is part of the Kempinski group.

The hotel building is nice, lobby is okay but the rooms are small and terrible, with walls at many awkward angles. Not enough space in the room to walk and you keep bumping into the desk or the chair. Hot water didn’t work in my room on one of the three days. The bathroom design is poor. They seem to have plonked a bathtub in what was probably the only space to stand in the bathroom. So access to basin is hard and you need to squeeze into the spaces. Opening shower door is hard. Shower area got flooded every day due to poor drainage. Amenities (bath gel/shower cap etc.) were not replenished daily and I had to call housekeeping. And for vegetarians, please note that the restaurant has only one veg dish. Hotel kept changing the car pickup from hotel front to the basement almost on an hourly basis, confusing residents and car/Uber drivers. Not recommended for what they charge.

Overall, it was a very nice venue for a one-day staycation. The spa was accommodating to a last-minute booking, meals (room service) very nice and prompt and the staff perfectly professional. There were some minor issues with some requests, perhaps due to language barrier, but they were solved adequately. The bathroom was wonderful and spa-like, but the room itself was a little plain for the caliber of hotel. Burj Rafal Hotel was marginally nicer when it was branded Kempinski; unfortunately some of the amenities Kempinski is known for (such as the cloud-like bedding) seem to have gone away with the name.

Everything was nice at this hotel, I liked the bathtub even more which made me lazy to see the city, this shower was a bit dark would find better designing but its okay, the housekeeping didn’t add soap which isn’t usual for 5 stars hotel but everything else was nice, free valet parking is very helpful because I’m always lazy to park.

One of the worst hotels in Riyadh, they refused to check me in due to some documents that I don’t have it and im already paid for the room!!! Still am waiting to refund my fees and points.

Well worth staying here
Very nice hotel as you would expect. The only issue was a slightly dodgy wifi connection in the room which meant FaceTime calls were slightly stilted. But otherwise a lovely hotel with great food.
