"This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel."

"Our room was much quieter than I had expected. We were located next to the ice machine, which I thought might be a problem, but I didn't hear it at night at all. Everything was spotless. The breakfast had a variety of items both hot and cold, and most of what we chose was very tasty."

"I arrived late the evening before the NFL draft. When I arrive, I had a parking space available. The grounds look fantastic. I walked in the door was open at 11 PM and the night clerk was waiting right there at the desk. He was the most pleasant professional person I’ve met in a long time. We had a very nice discussion and then went up to my room, which is fantastic. Overall, a great day. This is a hidden jam and I hope that the folks who are running it keep doing improvements overtime because since managing that property, it really has become a very nice place."
