The Old Coach House is absolutely excellent. Our room was spacious, had everything we could want and all of a very high quality. It was warm, comfy and looked great too, with huge original wooden beams, large luxurious armchairs and tasteful decor. The breakfasts were super too; lots of choice and tasty fresh fruit like berries or pineapple and choice of juices. Home made granola pots featured if you wanted a luxury treat. Cooked choices were tasty and very nicely served. Tea and coffee and toast in plentiful supply. Very convenient for Ripon but lots of countryside all around with local walks. Maps and walking routes to borrow in the reception which was where you could top up hot drinks and other snacks. A very lovely place to stay and I heartily recommend it to help make your travels or break a big success.

“Proper job”!
This is the best B&B we have stayed in and we can thoroughly recommend it. We visited the area for a family funeral but hope to return for a short break another time. Neil is a caring and skilled host who pays great attention to small details in an effort to ensure guests have a good home from home. Warm and very comfortable room plus an Excellent breakfast with local products. As we say in the West Country “proper job”!

Always a warm welcome
My second stay at The Old Coach House and it is always a real joy. A friendly welcome, attentive staff and a comfy room awaits you every time. The level of service far exceeds many of the large country hotels I have stayed at. Rooms are warm (it being winter), comfortable and crammed with amenities. Breakfast is a highlight, available from 7am for those of us with an early start and with a full choice of cooked or continental buffet. Outstanding!

Outstanding Country Break
The Old Coach House is a true little gem of a B&B. The location is ideal for many trips around yorkshire. The rooms are clean, well decorated and furnished with everything you'd need. Staff are beyond helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. Breakfast is a true highlight, with a wide range of cooked and continental options! Very highly recommended.

First Class
Very nice establishment in an absolutely charming village close to Ripon. The Manager Niel went above and beyond to make our stay fabulous. Breakfast was awesome. One slight downside is the village pub is temporarily closed. But due to reopen in October.

Wonderful weekend getaway
The Old Coach House was everything and more than what we expected. The room was very comfortable with all amenities covered. The breakfast covered everything from fruit and yoghurt to a full English and the service was impeccable. It is situated close to Ripon where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. We couldn’t have asked for anything more and we highly recommend.

The Coach House is a very comfortable and well equipped B & B - the fridge with fresh milk was particularly welcome. The breakfast at the Coach House was good and the Staveley Arms across the road is excellent for evening meals.

Wonderful New Year break.
Such a beautiful place to spend a couple of nights over new year. It was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had a deluxe room which was fine for 2 nights. I might have chosen a room with larger shower but that will be for next time! Breakfast was served in our room due to covid but that worked very well. It was all tasty and fresh and good portions. The fruit and granola cup was amazing!! Amy made us feel very welcome and all the staff we met were lovely. A great place to stsy to explore the area and some fabulous places to eat too.

Tip Top B&B near Ripon
This is a lovely, superior B&B located in a beautiful part of Yorkshire just north of Ripon. Very friendly and approachable people, excellent breakfasts. They are currently running a strict hygene regime for obvious reasons, but this did not impact greatly on the pleasure of our stay at the Old Coach House. Recommended.

Easily one of the nicest places we've stayed at.
Easily one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. The location is quiet, the building is beautiful and our room was just so lovely and immaculately well presented on our arrival, who doesn't like the option of getting straight into a dressing gown and slippers to start relaxing straight away. The room had great decor, exceptional bath/shower and quality tea, coffee etc. to enjoy. The breakfast choice is great, being able to have everything you want for a full cooked breakfast, full continental or a mix 'n' match between both, and it was quality through and through. Communications with the manager, before and during our two night stay was a delight, she was just so friendly and helpful and really cares about her guests stay and experience. Some serious extra points given for their extra efforts during these Covid times, reduced reception congestion, information in the room regarding where all the extra 'key areas' of cleaning has taken place (very reassuring) and breakfast brought direct to your door, with all plates and glasses covered and all cutlery presented in a sealed bag, faultless effort. We genuinely look forward to a return visit. Thank you so much for a delightful stay.
