Rivabella is a picturesque and laid-back beach resort that runs north along the coastline from the mouth of the Marecchia River. It’s situated just a short hop from the old town yet far enough away to escape the crowds of the more central beaches. Hang out at the bagno (clubs) of Rivabella and saunter along its vibrant waterfront boulevard.
Come in the summer months to join the sun-kissed beachgoers that like to see and be seen. Cool off from the hot sun by splashing around in the clean and still water of the Adriatic Sea. Visit in winter and you’ll discover an all-but deserted beach popular among walkers and dog walkers.
Much of the soft golden sand is occupied by a collection of bagnos. Admission fees are applicable, which include the use of sun loungers, umbrellas and facilities such as bars, restaurants and washrooms.
Beachfront Viale Paolo Toscanelli is a hive of vibrant activity throughout the day and late into the evening. Food choices range from bakeries, cafés and ice cream parlors to pizzerias and seafood restaurants. Browse the fashion outlets, shoe stores and souvenir shops. Kids will enjoy the waterslides at Parco Acquatico Arenas. Entrance is free, although there are fees for the individual rides.
Guesthouses, self-catering chalets, and hotels line the waterfront and streets that lead back from the beach. Some offer access to private beach areas. Several close during the low season so check before traveling.
Rivabella is easy to get to by catching a bus from Rimini’s historic center. Walking is also possible from Rimini Marina. Street parking is available but arrive early in the summer months because spaces are often taken.
