"My husband and I stayed 2 nights and found it easy to check in and out. Nice covered valet/checkin area. The hotel is very clean, super comfortable beds, and an easy, convenient walk 15 minutes to downtown Savannah. The parking garage is an easy walk across the street for $15/day as opposed to the offered valet parking for $45/day. Our room was at 421 and our earplugs came in handy due to the street noise.. not horrible but it is a busy area. The restaurant food was not great, but the waiter was very pleasant. Try the Cuban restaurant and the Crystal Beer Parlor, an easy walk, for good food. The only negative was we checked out a day early and were advised by the GM, Frank Guilford, that Expedia charged us an early checkout surcharge. After confirming with Expedia, they did NOT impose the surcharge and in fact the hotel did. This was resolved by Expedia (thank you Daniella) and the front desk at Cambria refunded our charges (thank you to the hotel front desk). I would only recommend you review the final charges on your receipt before leaving and grab business cards for documentation if needed. Would highly recommend this hotel."

The hotel is ideally situated, offering picturesque views of the water, making it a perfect spot for runners looking to combine their workout with beautiful, tranquil surroundings. One of the highlights of staying at the JW Plant is the rich history that permeates the area. The hotel itself is steeped in local heritage, providing an intriguing backdrop for guests. From historic landmarks to quaint, charming streets, there’s plenty to explore and discover, making it an engaging destination for both relaxation and adventure. Additionally, the JW Plant offers a variety of interesting activities, ensuring that there’s never a dull moment. Whether you’re interested in local tours, enjoying the hotel’s amenities, or simply soaking in the ambiance, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. However, it’s worth noting that the service at the Seafood restaurant near the Atlantic portion of the hotel was a letdown. The bartender’s dismissive attitude left a sour taste, ultimately leading me to refuse to spend any money there. It’s a shame, as this small hiccup in service was the only blemish on an otherwise fantastic stay. In conclusion, the JW Plant in Savannah is a great choice for runners and history enthusiasts alike. Just be mindful of where you choose to dine within the hotel complex."
