Richland Riverfront Hotel and Conference Center, Ascend Hotel Collection
8/10 Good
"There was some concern based on previous reviews but we found the rooms very clean and comfortable. The pool was wonderful and well maintained. One of the deck chairs was broken and we weren't able to open one of the umbrellas, but the staff responded to our questions and fixed the awning promptly. I would suggest better lighting in the hallways by the stairs."
"I would ding a half a star because the street noise was pretty loud all throughout the night. I would assume the Colombia River side would be quieter so spend the extra bit to be on the other side of the property. Or, bring a sound machine & turn it up so it drowns out some of the street noise. The front desk staff were pleasant everytime we passed by them, check-in was pretty quick (they even gave my twins coloring books & crayons), and the property was clean & smelled fresh everywhere. We stayed in the 2 Queen suite & the bathroom was huge! Best breakfast I've experienced to date. They have pork carnitas one day, then chorizo tacos the next...yum! Plus the usual egg, sausage, potatoes & baked goods, etc. Special shot out the the incredibly sweet Angelica who worked the breakfast each morning. Our first morning there, she took the time to talk to my 4 year old twins & 7 year old son; then she even asked about them the following morning. So sweet! There was even a game room, library & workout room (which I will check out next time). I would give the Colombia River side a shot to see if it's quieter only because the property was super clean & staff were so nice!"
"We didn't really get to spend a lot of time on the property but our room was clean and pretty large. The check in staff was amazing and the housekeeping staff was polite."
"Great hotel!! Very friendly, clean, and had comfortable beds. Coffee and water available all day and breakfast was very good. Will stay there again!!"
"Right on the walking path and next to the big river front park. 3rd or 4th year in a row we've stayed here.
Only minor ding and it's pretty minor is the breakfast which could be improved."
