This is the worse hotel we have ever stayed in...There was no hot water for showering, no internet in the rooms and no soap to wash our hands...Do yourself a favor and never stay in this hotel

The bed in our ‘superior’ room was very old, unstable and creaky. We had a large superior room but only a queen sized bed. The breakfast buffet was also very basic.

Amazing views
Great hotel, surrounded by the mountains, lots of hiking places nearby, 20mins drive to the beach, nice rooms with balcony and amazing views to wake up to, good breakfast and dinner.

Great location!
Great location for hiking in the mountains and really nice staff. The breakfast was OK but I guess it's much better and more choice when there's more than five guests staying in the hotel - I loved that though as it was really nice and quiet. There's free WIFI in the lobby area but not in the rooms though. All in all I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel and I'd stay in this hotel again.

Superb price, best hotel for hiking on Madeira
Superbly located for hikes to the mountain peaks in the east and to the highlands in the west, as well as to curral de freiras.Staff are really friendly, the food (especially the dinner menu for 13 Euros) is fantastic, and the rooms are clean + with everything you need. By far the cheapest hotel we have been in, with comparable quality of rooms to other where we paid 3 times as much. Obviously, it is a wet place with fog coming every day at around 1pm, so it can feel a bit damp, the humidity is extreme. Wifi works in the reception area only, but there are great sofas there and it is very peaceful and quiet during the week. Cant comment on weekends where, apparently, portugese wedding make it a less quiet experience.

Abgenutzt Zimmer, defekte Armaturen, Treppenhaus war eine Baustelle. Aufgrund einer Hochzeit im Saal war es sehr laut im ganzen Hotel.

Ein ein die Jahr gekommenes Hotel. Für die ** des Hotels war ich positiv überrascht. Die Hellhörigkeit ist ein Problem. Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen wirklich gut. Kann auch nur das komplett Paket mit Abendessen empfehlen. Zusammengefasst ich würde wieder kommen.
