Capricorn Hotel Suva

"I was initially in another, similarly priced, hotel in Suva that was so unpleasant I decided to move. Capricorn was such a relief - the room is spacious, bright, well layed out and the view is spectacular. It was great to have an outdoor porch and to have the opportunity to prepare simple meals. The location was also excellent. Just up the hill from the main downtown shopping area so food courts and other restaurants were easy to access. Finally, when I left suva for the Coral coast I left a major elecronic device behind by accident. Capricorn went out of their way to pack my things up beautifully and get them to a secure taxi to get them to me in my new location on the same day. Thank you Caprocorn! Should I ever be in Suva again I will stay at Capricorn."
Novotel Suva Lami Bay

"Overall, a very pleasant experience staying at Novotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, even offering late check out, uninitiated by me, at no extra cost. I would definitely pay the extra for the second floor rooms (deluxe room and above). The increase in price is relatively minor, and the privacy and views from your balcony is well worth it. I would be wary of the restaurant, however. I ordered pasta that had a broken, oily sauce, and a creme brulee that was obviously baked and not actually brulee (no crispy sugar crust which is, let's be honest, at least 50 percent of that dish), and the custard was lumpy. That being said, I was genuinely pleased with my experience and, if I ever end up in Fiji again, this will be my go-to hotel choice (I'll just order delivery from another establishment). Pros: Excellent, friendly service. Lovely view. Very quiet and serene. Nice pool and lounging decks Beautiful lobby, bar, and restraunt. Cons: Generally clean, but I did see a dead cockroach in the hallway that was there for both nights and all three of my days at the hotel. Makes me a bit concerned about general cleanliness. There were a couple of broken things in the room, but nothing I couldn't live with. The food is suspect. I wouldn't order anything beyond basic sandwiches and such."

"My room was large with a very comfortable bed and a personal ensuite bathroom. The swimming pool was wonderful clean and very refreshing after a long walk in the heat. The free breakfast was beyond excellent for a continental breakfast including boiled eggs and baked beans and ham on top of the usual continental breakfast items. All this for a great price and the staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Room was clean, AC worked well, room was smaller than shown in pictures, staff were not very good in being assistive with late check out, wanted me to pay another night for 2hrs extra. One way to loose returning guests. This was the first and last time I stayed here"

"Very good hotel ,staff very good , On arrival , fridge not working , fridge replaced . Aircon was dripping water as the discharge hose was leaking . Room was changed . Very happy with the service and staff . Kitchen very clean nice breakfast ."
