"If you are looking for “historical” this is your spot! Stairs are ridiculously steep. Carpet in rooms. No air. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. "
"I stayed at Cape Fox Lodge about 6 or 7 years ago. This lodge was on the level of other premiere lodges in the northwest I love the location the views and the architectural style of the lodge. The room was clean. I was disappointed that the building and rooms are well overdue for a refresh. The menus in both restaurants were not as upscale as they were for my prior visit. The service was not on the same level either. The pictures in the museum had dogeared corners. The tram was broken and looked like it had not operated for a long time. The last time I stayed here the lodge was pristine and on the level of any other high end lodge in the northwest. This lodge is the prime hotel property in Ketchikan. It definitely needs to be and could be again the premier lodge in southeast Alaska. With that said, I would stay at Cape Fox Lodge again when visiting Ketchikan again."
"Room gross. Staff friendly and helpful. Did not use shuttle. Shops nearby were convenient.
Entire property breaking down and needs a gut then remodel. Fire sprinkler heads leaking and smoke detectors non existent. Vacant units had chirping detectors ALL… NIGHT… LONG.
Shower head leaked, toilet slow to flush, thermostat cover broken, grime all along baseboards, fridge was off and spewed out defrost water when door opened.
Won’t stay here again."
