"Lovely place, lovely setting. Stayed either side of the Great North Run. Staff were absolutely lovely, even got complimentary drinks when they found we'd just been running! :) Room very nice and spacious, comfy bed, only complaint would be that room was a tad warm for me, even with radiator off! Complientary entry to the health club as a hotel guest was a big reason we picked here, enabled a good soak and steam after running!"

"Does at is says on the tin! We had a lovely stay at Bannatyne hotel. The rooms were a little small, but were very tidy and the bed very comfortable. We paid ยฃ12 extra per day on check in for a continental breakfast, which I think was well worth the money as it was a great selection of food. My only issue is that we were in the 1st room in the corridor, and you could hear doors banging all night. I am assuming itโs because how close we were to the stairs/lifts. Not too much of a problem as I have earplugs, but something to be mindful of that the hotel is a bit dated, so may not have the best soundproofing. I would give our stay a 9/10 and would definitely stay again should we come back."

"Lovely little spot to stay, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The room was really nicely decorated and very clean and breakfast was certainly different but not in a bad way. The little hamper is a nice little touch, maybe not to everyone's taste but I found it quite cute and unique. Thank you for a lovely stay. ๐ Great view from our room"

"Comfortable bed. Good size clean bathroom with bath. Quite quiet after 11.00 . Wall ( outside wall )showed signs of damp and repairs a bit off putting. Told manager at end of stay who noted to inform that it. needed attention"
