"I have been to Philippines 5 times now and had some great stays . This hotel stands out as one of the best . Clean rooms,super friendly staff helpful and very accommodating. Every staff member acknowledges you every time they see you. Food from the kitchen was great and good selection and portions. The remote even worked for TV, lol and you have multiple seating areas throughout hotel. Pool kept clean and fresh pool towels when needed. Would definitely stay here on my next visit. "My ETA was well past the last check in, but a member of staff was kind enough to stay behind. The dorm had 4 bunkbeds, an AC unit and a fan. The AC and fan worked well. Each guest was given a towel and a locker big enough to hold a large backpack. The bed had an Asian style firm mattress and a thin sheet, a private light, 2 sockets and a small shelf. "I booked at Golden Gates years back, it went great! I recently booked again at GG because of my previous experience with them. Golden Gates again was a great experience. Staff were very nice and professional. My flight was rebooked and I needed to stay an extra night, the transition was very fast and easy. Stores are nearby to purchase any necessities. If I’m ever in Dumaguete again, I’ll be staying at Golden Gates without hesitation. "
