"i stayed in this cabin to enjoy hiking in the gorge. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities needed for the term of my stay. Checking in and out was very convenient. Communication with the host was very accommodating. It was a bit of a drive each day to and from my hiking destinations but i would not necessarily allow that to hinder my decision to return to this cabin in the future."

"Stay was okay. Building was clean and everything worked well. Location was much further from red river gorge than expected, about 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes one way to a trail. Bed was very hard. Hot tub was nice. Overall, decent if you dont mind the sleeping conditions and the drive but for us it wasnt worth the cost "

"The Black Bear Lodge came as described and fit my purposes very well. I was in the area to hike about 25 miles of trails in two days at Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. I was able to use the microwave to make my oatmeal and get out on the trail early. The room was clean and had what I needed to dry off from getting drenched outside. Parking was available, Location was down the street from some great restaurants like Miguel's and Red River Rockhouse. I was able to do just what I wanted to do here."
