We only stayed overnight but it was amazing, so peaceful and quiet. The staff and hotel were lovely highly recommended.

Breakfast value not good
The hotel is very well designed room was lovely and clean good shower sea view close to railways only downside was breakfast £14 had eggs benedict 2 halves of muffin but only one egg never had that before asked for a second pot of tea and the tea never brewed only explanation we can think off is the tea bags had already been used

Hotel in excellent position. Accommodation very good. Food good and staff friendly. Car park needs some work doing but ok. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great place to stay
The hotel is located a few strides from the estuary. We had fabulous views from our bay window (room 18) across the water. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Facilities in the room were great, full range of tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits, including a coffee machine. Hair dryer and iron and ironing board were available. The room was enormous with a very comfy bed and large sofa. We ate in the hotel on both nights of our stay and the food was fabulous, well priced, good portions and very tasty. Great location for lovely walks and the Eskdale Railway.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. I loved my waterside room, the staff were very friendly, the food excellent. I hope to return, and would certainly recommend it.

Great place to stay - for business or leisure
5th stay in the last 2 months or so for short business trips. Always a friendly welcome, early check ins (by an hour or so) never seem to be an issue. Good good, lovely breakfast. I was delivering training on site to some employees from a nearby facility, Kieran and the team always went out of their way to accommodate any changes or requests I had. Lovely area too - when the wind drops ! 😂

A very nice one night stay. The room was good, great size, nice shower, good bed. We booked an evening meal and it was really good! Would recommend.

Beautiful location. Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Really. What's not to like? Never been to this area before much less the hotel but will be looking to book a longer stay. Absolutely loved it!

We love it, give it a try.
We've stayed here on many occasions and we always return. You get what you pay for and the Hotel staff always look after us well. In the evening you can get a nice meal, booking recommended ofcourse and the full Cumbrian breakfast in the morning is superb. Proper Bacon! In the room, peaceful, comfortable, especially the bed, came home to ours and now I'm wishing I hadn't. It's a beautiful village and everything's perfect for that restful getaway from the hustle and bustle of the real world. We'll be back and so will you.
