"We only stayed at Storrs Gate House for one night to break a long journey to Scotland but we would have no hesitation in returning for longer to explore the area properly. The accommodation was supremely comfortable, the breakfast was superb and the hosts were wonderfully welcoming. Storrs Gate House is only a short and pleasant stroll from the centre of Bowness but far enough away to be quiet and tranquil. Altogether top notch. Highly recommended. "

"We had the most wonderful stay at Ambleside Townhouse. We stayed for 5 nights in the family room as it was the last room they had when booking. We were glad as it was a beautiful spacious room with two beds. We only used one which was a superking and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and even though we didn’t really need much they were always there to answer anything with a friendly reply. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. "Room is very basic. Breakfast is basic. Nice chef though, came specially to apologise for the limited options. In general the B&B is overrated extremely overpriced. Not happy at all that I booked it"
