"Amazing, historic building with many original features such as a beautiful tiled hallway and original call bells in the corridor. However, the decor and soft furnishings are all a little tired and dated in the common areas and overdue for an upgrade. "Room was spacious, great shower. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily. I pointed out that it said two eggs but we only got one each. The waiter was apologetic but just said it...

"A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again."

"Great location, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, nice toiletries and great selection of coffee and teas. Great food and drinks available onsite. Ideas for improvement- larger fridge, the fridge is tiny - other than the free water that is provided you can’t fit anything more in there. Robes would be nice as well as body lotion or hand cream in the bathroom."
