A great place to stay if you are looking for a laid back, rustic location with for cute wooden cabins with all the facilities you would expect for a great stay!
The host, Jorge, is very friendly and communicative and also helps suggest places to visit and to eat at.
Very friendly owners - gave great recommendations and always available to chat.
Tea and coffee and fruit for a free breakfast.
Very clean and nicely presented rooms.
The drive to Quepos is very short and you can find lots of good restaurants there.
Safe and quiet area of the town.
They have lots of cute and friendly dogs.
If you drive there they have gated and convenient parking
Good wifi
Jorge and Pamela were wonderful hosts and extremely accommodating. The property was lovely and kept extremely clean. Shared kitchen and lounging area. Able to cook meals on the propert saved a lot of money. Easy to walk to downtown Quepos and catch a taxi or bus to Manuel Antonio. Very friendly dogs on the property. All around amazing experience.
The owners were absolutely helpful and friendly in every way. They served us fresh mango from their own trees when we arrived and served fruit and coffee every morning. Their dogs are lovely and well behaved, quiet. There was noise from the surrounding neighbors (dogs and chickens) and very loud guests next door the first night, though they finally quieted down by 9pm. There is no AC so it is very hot in the daytimes and early evenings in the cabins. It is difficult to drive or walk down the road to downtown. Overall a nice stay with lovely people.

The kitchen area is great and always very clean. The husband of the couple that runs the hotel was very kind and helpful. They provided a book with ideas for excursions and the husband was always happy to talk with us about potential plans.
Unfortunately his wife was often loudly yelling for him throughout the day. Upon arrival, she told me I was being difficult when I wanted to pull up my car to bring my luggage in, and insisted there was no parking inside the gate and then let 2 other cars park inside afterward. Not sure what was going on, but we definitely didn’t feel welcomed by her in the least.
Its about a four minute drive from downtown Quepos, maybe 1.5 kilometers away, but its worth the walk or drive. The family who runs this place are so kind and full of information to make your time in Manuel Antonio/Quepos enjoyable. We stayed in one of the tree houses (mini Houses) and absolutely loved it. My 10 year old son wanted to stay there for more time, but we had to go back home. The room was very clean, and comfortable bedding. They had hammocks to lay in, hammock chairs to rest in, tables to eat at, a kitchen to cook in, and we always looked forward to our conversations with the owners, who spoke both English and Spanish. They had chickens, parrots, dogs, and cats there, which made it feel like being on a small farm, and we loved it. I would highly recommend this place. and will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in CR. My sonm said he felt like we were leaving family when we had to depart.
Absolutely lovely hosts, beautiful facilities, and Molly the poodle was a star 🌟. Some of the best hospitality and care we've experienced while traveling.
The tiny houses were lovely and the owner was very friendly and made a great recommendation for a guide in Manuel Antonio. The property is located a few minutes drive from Quepos. We enjoyed our stay
Jorge and Pamela we're very attentive and helpful throughout our muti-day stay. They gave us great advice on places to visit. We highly recommend this place because of the hosts.
Jorge and Pamela were the best of hosts as they prepared fruit plates for breakfast and coffee every morning by 6AM. I felt very welcomed and the overall experience was a 5-star accommodation
We enjoyed the best hosts in Costa Rica at Guest House Pura Vida. Jorge, Pamela and Melanie gave us many great recommendations about sight seeings and restaurants in Quepos. The rooms are very clean and big. Highly recommened if you have a rental car as you need 5 minutes by car into town.
The Guest House Pura Vida is a lovely place to stay in Quepos. Jorge was very helpful and a good-hearted person. I felt very relaxed with the nice ambience. I would recommend to stay there, especially if you are traveling by car. I would go there again. Pura Vida :)

Even though the owners are friendly and knowledgeable, the property lacked basic features like hot showers, lack of hanging space in the bathrooms for towels, etc. The place did not feel clean. Requires cash payment which makes it inconvenient in travel.
