"The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The owner made us very welcome which made the stay even more enjoyable. We also found out that Old Daltongate House is the oldest house in Ulverston. If we get a chance, we will certainly go back again."

"Great find. A very reasonably priced guest house. Easy and private access to the guest bedrooms using a code key. The bedroom and separate private bathroom were lovely and clean and very light and airy. I’ve got to say the bedding felt beautiful. Breakfast was basic but was included in the price we paid. A croissant and jam or marmalade which was left for us in the room. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were also provided and replaced as necessary. There was also a little outdoor seating space...

"We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. We slept like logs and woke to have full breakfast that Jonathan cooked which...
