"Woman on reception desk was friendly and helpful, we liked her (for identification purposes, she was Catholic from her crucifix around her neck but donโt know her name). The kettle didnโt work. The towel was dirty. There was a firework display at midnight that was very impressive but disturbed sleep. The drag racing on the bypass outside the window was also a nightmare. Other than that, it was completely fine ๐"

"We loved being in one of the original cell rooms, though ours looked in need of some TLC particularly the bathroom and the wardrobe/desk/chair. The bed was very comfy - would have been good to have a lighter duvet for the current climate. The bar area decor is a bit plain - though the member of staff was super helpful and friendly. The corridors/landing areas are obviously very narrow and when the team are cleaning the equipment clutter them. Would be great if they could find a solution to improve the first impression."

"BEAUTIFUL grounds and main hotel areas, super helpful and welcoming staff. The room itself had basic amenities, and smelt like it was an ex- smokers room. May just be that the soft furnishings needed replacing. The room was dated and needed an upgrade. It would have been good to have a safe in the room too. Everything else about the hotel was wonderful and it was a shame it was only a fleeting visit. Slightly overpriced considering the room itself."

"We booked two rooms on one reservation. Not only were the rooms not beside each other, not on the same floor, they werenโt even in the same building. Also check in was so slow for some reason. Not sure why they donโt have things printed and keys ready before you get there. Otherwise itโs a decent place to stay. Some rooms are clearly nicer and newer than others. Great location. Breakfast was average but great view from the window of the river."
