"This was a great place to land for the evening while on a road trip. There is a train and well traveled road out front, but a white noice machine was provided as well as ear plugs. We slept great and found the environment very peaceful. It is conveniently located to grocery/convenience stores but tucked back away from the main road of town, which was nice. It was noticeably clean and had thoughtful amenities. Would stay again! "
"Not up to expectations after reading reviews.
Room on ground floor was clean and bed was comfortable, however we had no privacy as it overlooked builders yard/merchant and only window covering was a blackout blind, so if we wanted natural light had to have blind open, letting everyone see into room. After showering had to get dressed with no natural light. Needs nets at window.
Only mirror was in the bathroom, need one in the bedroom.
Towels very small and only one bath robe.
Bathroom basin plug hole was broken (stuck on closed)
No Tea/Coffee facilities in room.
Room info said Coffee Makers available on request, however when I asked at reception, was told No, the coffee available was in the lobby. The lobby coffee was tepid and weak, really not worth drinking and TBH when I wake in the morning all I want to do is relax with a coffee, without having to get dressed and walk to the lobby, just to get coffee, especially when its not worth drinking anyway!!!
Breakfast reviews mention restaurant next door and how amazing the breakfast was. So I was looking forward to a lovely birthday breakfast, But unfortunally for us it was a very different experience!!! Breakfast was in the Hotel and very disappointing (we were not the only ones to think so) very basic, waffles, pastries and yogurt, my Husband doesn't eat any of these, so had to forgo breakfast.
We didn't use the fitness room, but did enjoy the pool and hot tub.
Receptionist on morning of departure was very pleasant"
"Stopped for the night while travelling back to Canada. Great place to stay especially with our dog, quiet, clean and peaceful. We will definitely be back when we have time for a longer stay."
"Food had good choices, fresh food, warmer to keep food warm. Surrounding grounds well taken care of. Staff warm and welcoming. Rooms excellent, clean, bathroom and shower clean. Parking excellent "
"The room was clean, the staff was nice and friendly. We thought the hallways could have used some cleaning and our side door didn't lock, so we would have felt a little more "secure" if it had worked, but not a deal-breaker. The teenagers in the group were disappointed that the pool and hot tub were not available. Otherwise, our stay was good."
