"Check in was painful with the need to scan s Qr code and fill in a form when all our details are already on the system when we booked. No tea making facilities in rooms. Staff wete great but big queues due to mobile registration. What happens if there is someone who doesn't do mobile qr codes? "

"Excellent location, nicely decorated, clean room. Self check-in was straight forward and fast. Friendly, helpful staff. The only thing we didn't care for was the communal coffee/tea station. As we walked by once, there was an unsavoury looking cup of coffee sitting on the worktop and turned us off of using the machine. The restaurant/bar was fabulous! The food was delicious and great value for money. We will definitely stay again."

"The bathroom was disgusting, shower drain was thick with hair! There was mould everywhere, hair on the bedsheets. However, the staff were very polite when we arrived & leaving. It’s in need of a deep clean!"

"If you’re looking for a cheap stay I recommend this listing. I was travelling with 5 friends to Manchester to meet up with other friends and this location was perfect for distance from the city centre. About £12/13 in an uber. The communication could have been better for us but in the end it was fine. The most important part was it was clean and comfortable. I’d say the only downside was left over items from previous guest. The property is a bit like a HMO with all rooms lockable. That wasn’t necessary for us as a group but some may find that helpful."

"I had the worst experience dealing with “The pleasant house”. I travelled all the way from London to Manchester, just for them to tell me at check in they had no rooms available. There were no staff present, just a phone number on the outside door to call. I stayed outside the building for 5 hours trying to book other accommodation. These people also refused to give me a refund, I had to get my bank to do a chargeback, which was successful. Stay away from this hotel at all costs, they are scammers."

"We arrived at this venue last weekend, and within a minute of being shown to our room we decided there is no way we could possibly stay there. The entire place is absolutely filthy, really appalling. I complained about this but the owner responded and i quote “not my problem pal, get what you pay for”. Stay well clear"
