I loved the quietness and location of the property which is close to the Palace. My room felt like home. Great view of the little Eiffel Tower from the back balcony and from my windows. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing that was hard was there is no elevator because of its UNESCO standing and my luggage was 50 pounds - they only had female staff in the morning who were not able to assist. Perhaps hiring a bellboy would be helpful?

Great location
Lovely quiet place to stay near the castle. Service was excellent and both people I interacted with were very professional and made you feel very welcome. The hotel is a long steep walk up the hill from the river.

Unique style, clean rooms with excellent views of Petrin tower from our room. Walking distance from Prague Castle and Pohorelec tram stop. Refreshing old style with keys to open doors and creaking wooden floors. Rooms are spacious with nice bedding. Wifi is non-existent and wish rooms were noise proof.

It was quiet and conveniently located for our visits to old town. We had a lovely terrace outside our room overlooking beautiful greenery. There is no lounge for an afternoon cocktail but it wasn’t necessary.

Great position near Prague Castle. Although central it is very quiet overlooking fields and woodland. Breakfast was a great start to day with continental breakfast. Staff very accommodating and helped to sort taxi and boarding forms. A definite recommend.

Wonderful stay at Domus Henrici !
We originally were a bit worried about staying up near the castle because of the distance, but it was in fact very easy to get to and from all the attractions in Prague on foot. During our 6 night stay, we mostly walked everywhere. If needed, Tram 22 was great for getting back up the hill after a late evening out. I have only good things to say about this hotel. Friendly service, spacious and inviting breakfast area with good variety of food choices, spacious and inviting rooms (superior room well worth the extra - wonderful views !). We had a very enjoyable stay here and it was always much appreciated to get back to our quiet hotel after a day of sightseeing in Prague's busy tourist areas.

Lovely Stay - Warm and Helpful Staff
We enjoyed our stay in the palatial upper corner room 6, with a lovely view of the monastery and its vineyard! The receptionist was extremely cheerful and helpful, making sure we were well advised on everything from how to operate locks on the older doors and safe, to assisting us with reservations and with a voucher for a free drink at a monastery restaurant with a splendid city view! We were also delighted that the hotel was such a short downhill walk from the Porodurec tram station serviced by the #22 and #25 lines, so at the end of a long day of sightseeing, there is a simple and very inexpensive option to hop on a tram to take you uphill and close to the hotel. The bonus is that you can pass the small bodega on the left (even smaller on right) side of the street to purchase water or treats at non-tourist prices! If you are arriving by car, park briefly to unload bags and get directions to the parking available at a reduced rate at a nearby hotel a few minutes walk away. Though the receptionist did provide me with a map and instructions on how to get there, it is a driveway that would be easy to miss for most drivers new to the area. As you approach the hotel, which is on the corner, you will see the driveway, right on the corner, resembling a pedestrian walkway, and not much wider.

Lovely place to stay
This place was welcoming and beautiful! The staff were friendly and the entrance was always so fragrant with whatever candle they had our. Breakfasts were delicious too. The nearby area is all you can hope for being both close to everything and away from the early morning/late night hustle. The rooms were a little loud between neighbours but nothing exceptionally more than any hotel offers. Sadly our room was beside the electrical room and the doors are loud when inside the room. I would most definitely stay here again! :)

Thank you very much for your nice review. I am just confused what you mean "our room was beside the electrical room" as we do not have any technical room here. The hotel was fully occupied so the door to the terrace entrance has been used very offen. That might be the noise. What a pity you did not let us know imediately, we would do our best to fix it.

Confortable hotel close to the castle.
We recently stayed at this great hotel. From the time I booked it the hotel staff was very attentive and even booked a taxi for us, which also he was a pleasure to meet and have him take us to the hotel, his name is Mr. Milan Brumovsky. The hotel is supper clean, with spacious rooms, the breakfast buffet was delicious with a variety of food. Also the hotel is at walking distance from the castle ( around the corner, literally ) five minute walk. I do recommend this hotel and also the taxi driver, he is a gentleman.

Awesome hotel near the old city
A little boutique hotel just a short walk away from the castle, Charles Bridge, museums and old town. The hotel staff were always friendly and gave me good advice on tours and travel in Prague. The room was very large with a terrace that looked over a valley.

Fantastic, charming, friendly They are very real, love Americans, friendliest and most charming place I have stayed in many years of traveling. Very helpful coordinating bus trips, misc services outside of the hotel. No extra hidden charges for anything. Great and simple breakfast. No request was too small for them to solve quickly with great enthusiasm. We will always stay there when visiting friends and family in Czech.

See above. We loved this small hotel and it's location. It was a great value for the price. We missed having too warm a covers on our bed and thought we needed a fan. On checkout we were told they had both and only needed to as. Foolish of us not to ask, as they seemed to grant our every wish. We would stay there again.

Great choice if you want simple, quiet comfort.
Prague is a wonderful place but its also a bit of a tourist trap. The most exquisite looking hotel or restaurant easily turns sour when you realize its actually a tourist mill with terrible, overpriced service plastered with window dressing. The Domus Henrici thankfully was not like that at all. It is a genuinely pleasant to stay in. The room we stayed, the double deluxe room, was large, airy, very quiet, and had great view. The rooms a very simply, but practically furnished so there is no clutter and feels very clean. The bathroom had a big tub that our toddler absolutely adored. Indeed, after staying in several places around Europe, the Domus H. was clearly his favorite place. If you are trying to avoid the tourist trap while still being in the most beautiful part of the city, this seems like an excellent choice.

Beautiful country views in heart of Prague
Loved this hotel. Can't recommend it enough. Rooms simple with a plantation feel and very comfortable with a warm homely feel from the moment you step inside your room. Felt very safe here too. Staff friendly. Breakfast - great. Less than 5 mins walk downhill to castle. With Google map on your phone you will soon find where to get trams to chosen destination. If eating out close by, try restaurant U Labuti along from Castle entrance -fantastic food. Inexpensive - you will want to go back every night.

Sleeping in a home from 1300's is a dream!
This room is in a home build in the mid-1300's. It has a long history, including housing guests for the nearby Old Castle. It is spotlessly clean and stylishly decorated. The view from the terrace is private and lovely. The staff is well-informed of Prague's history and how to easily get around in the city. They can even sell you the ticket for one of the Hop-on/Hop-off bus companies! Location can't be beaten. Parking can be arranged off-site.

Island of tranquility near Prague castle
One of the best location in Prague, near Prague Castle and Strahov monastery. Very tranquil place - room spacious, with terasse, where one can sit and watch beautifull view to green hill with Petrin tower on the top and Strahov gardens. The room is simple, but spacious and you have all you need. Very old building from 14th century, excellent renovated to a small old-style hotel.

A little gem atop the city!
Loved everything about this place. On a VERY quiet street--late at night like a ghost town, but totally safe. location is fantastic--within steps of gorgeous palaces and stunning buildings, and very close to charming restaurants and bars, and then you start the slow, long downward walk toward famous Charles Bridge and the breathtaking city of Prague. I also loved the staff here--I dealt with 3 different people and every single one was very friendly, charming, polite, and helpful. Exceedingly so--just wonderful people. I overslept and missed the breakfasts so can't speak to them. the room I had was amazing--large, beautifully adorned, and a big bathroom. the views were fantastic. Comfortable bed, little fridge well stocked. Courtyard charming. And when I consider the price (converted to US$), I think this is one of the very best places I've ever, ever stayed.

The service here is superb! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They offered a transfer from the train station for 15Euro. Our driver was fantastic – very polite and a such a nice guy. The room (#8) was huge. It was very clean and comfortable with a terrace and view from our door. We didn’t hear any noise and slept great. The only concern would be the hot water. It can easily reach a scalding temperature so you do not have to turn the faucet very much to get hot water….be careful! The breakfast was great. Had everything that you could want. Coffee/tea/juice, bread, jams, pastries, eggs, meat, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, muesli. It is located in a quieter neighborhood (which we prefer) up on the hill near the Castle, which is the #1 tourist attraction. It’s about a 3 minute walk which means that you can beat the huge crowds and easily get there when it opens. You can pretty easily walk to Mala Strana (Lesser Town) for a greater selections of restaurants and shops. Walking towards the castle there are stairs on your rights (about 130 of them) that will take you down. Walking up was fine. If you don’t want to walk you can take the #22 tram a few minutes’ walk from the hotel to the Lesser Town and either walk or transfer to another tram to get to the Old Town. We were really happy and enjoyed our stay.

Really nice 5 day stay.
Prague is a beautiful city, and coming back to this lovely hotel every evening was a dream, so peaceful after the hustle and bustle of the old town during the day. The staff at Domus Henrici are really lovely, they're friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Lovely breakfast buffet, and room 6 is huge with lovely views from all the windows, and very clean. We opted for the transport service to and from the airport, our driver Milan was very friendly also. All in all I would definitely recommend a stay in this hotel.

Definitely worth it.
It's a hike up the stairs from the city to get to the hotel, but it makes for a serene and quiet setting, which also means it's easy to go to sleep rather than hearing lots of night life until early morning. We loved it. The hotel staff was very helpful in giving us guidance and help as we shared our daily plans with them.

Excellent, the staff cares about your stay. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. Location is key: the hotel is in the middle of everything, very short distances to the major attractions, 15 minutes to the rail station, 20 minutes to the airport.

A beautiful oasis in Prague!!!
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful with whatever we need- be it a restaurant suggestion to a ride into the old town. Our spacious room for a family of 3 has views from all windows over looking Prague, the Strahov Monastery and the Park. Steps away from the Castle and Mala Strana, and a 10 minute tram ride to the heart of the City. If you are looking for a peaceful, and designed for comfort hotel, stay here!

14th century building in cobbled street just 2 minutes walk from the castle, yet completely peaceful. We were made to feel very welcome. Our room had a shares terrace with views over the adjacent park and hill, an easy walk up to the observation tower which is a mini Eiffel tower.

Small hotel next to prague castle near monastery
We stayed 7 days in half term. Situated in a Lovely area a few metres from the beautiful prague castle and st vitus cathedral. Although a busy area in the day it was Quiet at night and we slept well. The room was cosy and warm. Bed very comfortable. Staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast substantial and delicious. Highly recommended. The weather was beautiful crisp and cold. About 5 degrees some days. The castle area is on a steepish hill.
