We stayed in the William Francis room which had a working fireplace! Spacious, clean and beautiful decor with a very cozy and historical feel. Great conversation over a homemade breakfast and such a lovely and accommodating host. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you!
This is a nice place with lovely grounds. It's a real B&B in that you're expected to eat a specific breakfast at a specific time while the owner regales you with the story of his life. If this is your thing you'll be happy. I personally prefer a little more autonomy but the hotels were full.
5 stars for service! The housekeepers were welcoming and communicative. My bf and I checked out early to go hiking, and we’re pleasantly surprised that Maria, the housekeeper, packed goodie bags for us on our hike (trail mix, muffins, scones, homemade pineapple cookies). Thank you for going above and beyond!

Maria was very gracious and helpful and her cookies were delicious. We enjoyed meeting Bill, the owner and listening to his stories. The room was comfy. We felt right at home.
My husband and I stayed at Bykenhulle when visiting the area for a funeral. Maria, the inn keeper was amazing; she went above and beyond checking in on us via text message. The cookies and breakfast were fantastic.
The history of the home was interesting, made even more so by the conversation with the estate owner, Bill, over breakfast.
Will stay again when in the Hopewell Jct area.
Fantastic 1841 Mansion in excellent shape. Great location, beautiful gardens and landscaping. Melissa was of great help and very friendly. We have stayed in MANY B&B's. This was absolutely the best, and the best B&B breakfast we have ever had. We are going back next year.
If you are going to the Stormville Antigue Show, this is the closest place to stay. We would recommend this place to anyone !
A great place in an historical house.
An excellent balance feeling between a family stay and professionnal hôtel service.
Spécial note for the superb breakfast and nice talk morning talks with Bill !
I should've expected some plumbing issues at a Beautiful Historic Inn
The house and grounds were lovely and immaculately kept. Home-baked Linzer tarts greeted us on arrival, and we found lovely frosted pineapple-shaped butter cookies on our pillows.
The three-course breakfast was delicious, complete with baked goods, fruit and yogurt, egg fritatta, sausage and bacon, and we enjoyed the chats with fellow lodgers and inn owner Bill Beausoleil over the dining table
Our bright and clean third-floor suite was furnished with two love seats and a coffee table as well as a dresser, desk, and bed. There was also a jacuzzi in the room with a separate set of towels, which was a nice touch. Our only issue was that the shower mechanism didn't work so we were forced to take baths. This was apparently not a new issue, as the owner mentioned that someone had turned the knob past the stop point at some time in the past. Had it ben been fixed prior to our arrival, or if we had been offered an alternative shower to use, our stay would have been perfect.
B&B complemented our wonderful holiday in the area, provided a classic hospitality experience in a very beautiful setting. Breakfast with Bill (the owner), one of the pioneers and innovators of the 20th century computer industry, was an absolute delight and revelation. Sol & Sue
We loved this B&B and would stay here again. Friendly staff, charming grounds and a yummy breakfast. We loved reading all about the history of the property as well.
Beautiful, upper-class estate property with well-furnished bedrooms and common rooms. Friendly service and delicious, plentiful breakfast. Computer nerds should be sure to meet the owner, Bill Beausoleil, owner of over 120 computer/semiconductor patents, to hear his stories of the heady days of development of the industry-changing IBM mainframes
My husband spent the night here and had a fabulous time. The breakfast was the highlight of the trip. The food was great but talking to the owner, Bill, was the icing on the cake. We ate family style and Maria is a wonderful host and chef. We will be back!

Great property
Enjoyed the room, clean, nice property, breakfast food was fair (same quality as a continental breakfast) served in nicer dishes. Would have enjoyed talking to the other guests but was hijacked by the owner who shared his story, which would have been more suitable in the sitting or living room.
The history, beautiful grounds, outstanding hospitality and personal touches made this a wonderful stay. So pleased to have made this our home base while visiting Vassar College

What a special and unexpected surprise!!! My husband and I were attending our son's college graduation and did not find a hotel closer to the college, so we decided to go with a Bykenhulle House. Am I glad we did!!! What a peaceful, immaculate, and gorgeous B&B!! From the moment we pulled up to this beautifully manicured home, to walking through the front door of this lovingly cared for magnificent home, we were so taken back!! We could not get over how IMMACULATE and well run it was! We were so happy to talk with the owner who was such a sweet, hospitable, and interesting man!!! I hope to go back another time and enjoy our stay for an extra day next time!! Thank you for the hospitality!!!
My wife and I are frequent travelers, and most often seek B&B's or small hotels. This one is near the top of our list for overall performance, certainly at the top for value. Maria was very accommodative to our travel schedule. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and nicely furnished. The queen bed was comfortable. WIFi was super high speed - an unexpected treat. Breakfast was excellent in elegant surroundings and tailored to our diet preferences. A stroll through the well groomed grounds was fun. We will definitely return. It was nice to chat with William.
